The stylish and modern open plan kitchen dining room lounge area makes a fantastic space to socialise and come together. With an infusion of colour, the comfortable seating area provides a great place for everyone to gather round; why not bring your favourite game to invite a little friendly competition into your evenings! Throw open the doors to the terrace to bring the outside in, it makes the perfect area on a fine day to sit back and local tipple on balmy evenings. Equipped with underfloor heating throughout, makes for a perfect retreat no matter what the weather or time of year. Children will enjoy playing on the lawn in front of the terrace and having their bikes, skateboards and surf boards to hand, securely in the outside store. The bright and airy master bedroom boasts its own ensuite, even offering his and hers stylish bowl sinks and a large walk in shower. A further twin bedroom and double bedroom are all linked by the main hallway each with their own idenity.
Found in its own corner of Higher Penmayne, the local shops including the village stores, bakery, butchers and deli are a short walk down the lane and provide the convenience nearby to be able to fill your fridge with Cornish faire. Nearby Porthilly cove is a sheltered inlet with stony shores, perfect for skimming stones with the children, while just on from here, Rock Beach offers beautiful clear waters and golden sand. Bikes can usually be taken on the Black Tor foot ferry at Rock Beach to Padstow, from which you have access to the famous Camel Trail. This picturesque and flat off-road path, affords stunning views of the estuary as it runs along the old railway line through Wadebridge to Wenfordbridge. Of course it is almost obligatory to stop for an ice cream along the route to refuel! Alternatively, you can drive with your bikes to Wadebridge in 15 minutes to start from here instead, while taking in the local shops and cafes. For the keen adult road cyclers, the local hills to the north near Port Isaac and beyond will provide fantastic challenges with the reward of incredible views at their peaks. The electric point inside the store at Outback means for anyone with an electric bike, you can recharge it here at night and whizz up those hills in no time and still feel fresh at the top! For a slower pace, couples can enjoy walking over St. Enodoc Golf Course in the heart of Rock, giving glorious views out from the Camel Estuary as it winds its way down to Brea Bay, Brea Hill and around to Daymer Bay. The glistening water at Daymer Bay will, no doubt, tempt you into having a dip so be sure to pack your swimsuit or wetsuit. This protective bay is popular with windsurfers and families as children can play to their hearts content on the beach and in the shallow shores. Whether you stay around the Rock area, or explore further north towards Pentire Point, the Rumps and up to Port Quin, you can be sure of plenty to do close by while enjoying your stay at Outback.
