“Another amazing stay in Croft Elms.”

It's just like a home from home for us, as been here so many times. The location is fabulous, park up and walk everywhere easily, Daymer Bay for swimming, Polzeath for Surfing / Body Boarding, across the sand dunes to Rock and then the foot ferry to Padstow. Climb Brea Hill, if you are feeling energetic! The Point is close by for tennis, golf and gym. The house is more than comfortable, with a really well equipped kitchen, BBQ, lovely garden and sunny patio. It's a great base to explore from too. Already looking forward to next year's visit and loved the new beds!

“The entrance to the property was obscure and the name of the property was covered in foliage so very difficult to find.”

We moved the house sign to a better position but still not very clear. The directions to get there were bad and we had to call Sykes to get further instructions. We were very frustrated.

The property

Polzeath 1.1 miles. Croft Elms is a fantastic, detached bungalow in an elevated position with gorgeous views across the golf course to Brea Hill and the Camel Estuary. There is an enclosed garden with lawn, sun deck and plenty of private parking. Croft Elms is perfectly positioned for quick access to the beach with a footpath to Daymer Bay across the road. The surfing destination of Polzeath and sailing hub of Rock are also conveniently close. Croft Elms sleeps four people in two well-presented bedrooms and features a contemporary shower room and bathroom, making it perfect for a family of four or couples. The extra seating area in the sunroom allows you to take advantage of the gorgeous views and has doors onto the sun deck for enjoying outside meals, while the light filled lounge offers a crackling woodburning stove and plush seating for snuggling up in front of the TV with Chromecast to enjoy a family movie night. Homely and well-furnished, one bedroom has a king-size bed and the other has twin beds with zip/link, ensuring flexible sleeping arrangements for all parties. Daymer Bay is a stunning place to stay and a lovely place to swim in the calm clear waters. Any golfers are spoilt for choice with St Enodoc or The Point at Polzeath. Walkers can hike for miles along rugged paths to the North or more level tracks to the south. A bucket and spade heaven, children can have hours of fun trying to dam the streams that trickle along Daymer Bay. White waters over at Polzeath will excite any bodyboarder or surfer; recover with a pasty or seafood at one of the cafes or restaurants at Polzeath. Visit nearby Rock for sailing, paddle-boarding and waterski-ing or jump on the ferry to the fishing town of Padstow. An exciting holiday awaits at Croft Elms. POLZEATH

Wadebridge 7.5 miles; Padstow 16 miles.

The seaside village of Polzeath boasts a sandy beach, which is bordered by rock pools and is acclaimed to be one of the best surfing beaches in the country. Polzeath itself has a number of small shops, cafes and restaurants, and the South West Coast Path, a 630-mile route, runs through the village. Just over seven miles away is the popular market town of Wadebridge, which is set alongside the River Camel and offers an array of shops, pubs and restaurants, as well as North Cornwall's only family-owned cinema. There’s wonderful countryside in the area, with the renowned Camel Trail passing through the town, and the nearby town of Padstow, with its harbour, pastel-washed medieval houses and celebrated restaurants is well worth exploring. Within driving distance is the UK surfing capital of Newquay, with over 11 miles of golden sandy beaches. Polzeath is an excellent base for exploring this part of Cornwall.
