We had the most wonderful holiday staying at Trebatha.

The location is fabulous! A quiet road, walking distance to Daymer Bay (although be prepared for the hill on the way home), and close to Polzeath too. The garden was out favourite part. Plenty of room for our little one to run around safely and sun all day. We had breakfast and dinner outside and the view is just beautiful. The house is spacious and well kept. The kitchen was well stocked with any utensils or appliances you'd need. We found the beds to be comfortable (although a head boards would be good). There is lots of room for parking. A big fat 10/10 for us. We'd love to go back, we are keeping our finger's crossed that it becomes available next year!

The property exceeded our expectations. It was clean, comfortable and really well equipped. The beds were lovely, mattresses, duvets etc clean and fresh. We loved the artwork and paintings of the local area. It would have been good to know about the coffee machine as we would have taken pods with us. Whilst we didn't leave our dogs unattended in the garden, we didn't think it was as secure as described as they could easlily climb the wall at the back and run free. A wonderful property which we hope to return to next year.

This property was amazing very clean and beautiful location .

The rooms were big and garden flat and secure for children to run around. Unfortunately the gardener turned up on Wednesday our last full day at the property and had to vacate the back garden to cut the grass surely this should be done on change over day ! The communication with John bray was extremely poor I left instructions for bed set up on my account as instructed and these were not carried out . I could not get through on phone after trying for days then tried whats app and was told I would be called but nothing very disappointed they take your money and then you cannot speak to them I was going round in circles what’s the point of communication channels if you don’t use them .

We had a fabulous week, the cottage is in a great location and we had everything we needed, and more!

- only niggle - side gate doesn’t shut very well and duvets need updating. We had a really great time and enjoyed our holiday.

The property was bright,clean and overall very good,it was situated in a convenient place for walks to the beach and places of interest,the sea view was a bonus.

The smoke alarm needed a new battery and continued to beep which was irritating, we felt that the beds could have done with a bit of airing and felt slightly damp also the under sheets were dried with wrinkles in them and made it uncomfortable to sleep on. The duvet in the main room needs to be replaced as it is spreading and the bathroom door at the end of the passage could do with a clean to remove the finger marks. More information from Sykes on the location of the bungalow would be useful as the sat nav sends you down a track which is full of crater size pot holes,there is a much easier entrance to the bungalow,also information on places of interest would be useful and local places to eat and shop,we found Flow's Kitchen at the end of our stay.

The house is fabulous with great outdoor space and location.

There are a few things that could make a stay at Trebartha great and need to be looked at. The beds are terrible, they are very uncomfortable, the headboards are poorly fitted on beds that have them but some beds do not have one at all. All of us including the children struggled with the matresses. The advertised bbq meant that we planned to have a bbq one night, it was gas but the gas bottle had about 4 minutes worth of gas which meant cooking all the food in the grill to avoid waste. We notified Sykes of the issue they said they would get it sorted out but never did. A fabulous place to stay overall but some changes need to be made.

Trebartha is a wonderful property.

We absolutely loved it. Lovely and spacious. Beautifully clean and the location was brilliant for both Daymer bay and polzeath. Would definitely recommend this excellent property. It made our holiday.

Trebartha is conveniently situation for the beautiful Cornish beaches, excellent surfing, local shops and lovely walks.

The holiday house is attractively decorated, comfortable, spacious, well equipped with plenty of parking for three cars.

The location is lovely, but that is what the property is trading off, as in terms of comfort it is damp we could not get the new air source heating to work at all, nor the old boiler which is ancient.

The bedding and bathrooms were damp because of lack of heating. The old dishwasher needs replacing as never did a clean cycle, the dishes were still dirty at the end. The dryer in the garage did not work ( poss the water needed emptying but t was impossible to remove the tray) . There were broken chairs on our arrival which were then glue back together, no doubt to break again as they were so old. The property really needs much more tlc and upgraded. Also there is a swimming pool in next door holiday house, which would seriously impact on enjoyment and privacy.

We all love Trebartha and have stayed at this property many times with all the family and will I hope continue to do so for many years to come.

It works very well for us and our two dogs and have had lovely holidays. The new hot water system works well with plenty of hot water all the time. Thank you. Just two points to raise is that with the new water system the toilet in the Utility room makes quite a noise when refilling after a flush (a water pressure noise) and the washing machine could not fit under the work top so was stuck out in the way, Otherwise apart from the weather a great holiday in Daymer at the lovely Trebartha. We will be back!!

This house is in an amazing location.

The gardener from John Bray was a really nice bloke and the lady that empties the bins is also really lovely. Sykes are always helpful, so 10 out of 10 from us..

3rd year at Trebartha. Lovely to see upkeep and improvements continue. Would thoroughly recommend.

Light, bright. Comfy beds and pillows. Beautiful pictures. We’ll equipped kitchen, second fridge much appreciated. Large secure garden and the most stunning view. A wonderful calm space. Thank you for letting us share Trebartha. We would love to return.

Really nice house, excellent location with nice views, (shame about the building works over the road).

NIce size garden, and excellent having a good BBQ. It could have done with being more dog proof but did not detract from enjoyment. We have holidayed in the area for the past 30 years so know what we want from a house and this was a very good fit. Thank you.

A wonderful holiday cottage in an amazing location The only downside was there was absolutely no guidance on things within the property - boiler, cooker, where spare light bulbs might be, local doctor, dentist etc.

The excuse given was that all folders had been removed due to Covid. However, there were several laminated sheets of paper in various locations in the cottage all telling us the same thing - what to do with bed linen and towels on departure. If these could be left then there is no excuse not to have other instructions for all visitors ready at the start of the letting season. A few temporary instructions were eventually left at the cottage but not until I had expressed my dissatisfaction with the situation. A small detail which took the edge off what was otherwise a lovely holiday.

This is the third time we have stayed at this property and have always been very happy, some improvements have been done since my last visit mainly the showers are much better.

It is a wonderful position with stunning views over the the river camel and sea the sun sets are outstanding.

Booking and information regarding arrival etc all seamless. Have been using John Bray for years always provide what they say in description.

We loved this house and found it very comfortable, its a great location and we thought it was a well cared for home that we would definitely like to stay in again!

The only thing that would improve it for us wld be a tumble dryer as the weather wasn’t great and we got caught in a few showers so it wld have been good to dry our clothes, although the airer was great it did take a while and we didn’t have loads of spare clothes. Thank you for letting us stay.

HAVING A BBQ FACILIITY WAS A BONUS - PARTICULARLY WITH THE GOOD WEATHER.

....! HAD A POWER/DISHWASHER PROBLEM - BUT IT WAS DEALT WITH QUICKLY (GOOD SERVICE). OVERALL, A NICE PLACE TO STAY - WE WILL BE BACK!

We had a lovely stay at Trebartha. We love North Cornwall, particularly the Camel Estuary, which is highly recommended, especially as we bring our Spaniels on holiday. We also love to visit The Blue Tomato cafe, which is always welcoming. Bedruthan Steps is worth a visit, along with a coastal walk to Morgan Porth. We would find an outside shower, tap useful for showering down sandy dogs. We have one at home, and helps keep the home clean . Definitely will be returning.
