The Holiday House (2 Atlantic Mews)

This house is in a perfect location for surfing and body boarding at Polzeath, also great for walking the coast path around Pentire Head or towards Daymer and Rock.

Comfortable beds with a choice of duvet thickness. Showers are good, plenty of hot water. Sitting room probably a bit small for 6 people. Plenty of crockery and cutlery but could do with a more hygienic chopping board- we could only find a wooden one and also needs a big serving spoon. Garage was a pleasant surprise, big enough for our skoda yeti complete with roof box. On the downside, the cleaning could have been better, dirty fridge and pans, clumps of dog hair in the corner. Some of the sash windows were very dirty - I understand this is difficult with sea spray and wind, though some of the casement windows were much cleaner.

Great views, close to beach, v lovely neighbours!

We had a couple of issues that were investigated promptly by the maintenance team but we were without a tumble drier for the week and the garage door was stuck after the bin man came!

We do appreciate that neither of these issues could be rectified immediately. We loved the house, the location, the garden and the showers etc.

Good position, free parking, and a lot of little extras left by the owners/previous guests. We would definitely recommend it.

Easy walk to shops/restaurants etc and a new restaurant a one minute walk away was great! Lovely views of the sea which we weren’t expecting! Loved it and will definitely be back!

We had a good holiday.

The house was comfortable & had everything we needed. We’ve been to Polzeath many times with John Bray but this was the first time at New Polzeath & gave a different aspect on the beach. The garden was good & there was a hose & rail for wetsuits.

We absolutely loved this cottage and we hope to stay again.

We had a very enjoyable stay in The Holiday House.

It is an old style family holiday home, which we liked, and is bright and fresh inside and has all the basic equipment needed (dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer). It is very well located close to the beach steps in New Polzeath and we hope to return another year. A minor niggle was having to remember to arrange to hire bed linen and towels and also paying extra for cleaning at the end of the holiday; we have become used to other holiday homes where this is all included as part of the rental.
