St Michaels is a charming slate hung holiday cottage set half way down Porthilly Lane within a short stroll of the peaceful Porthilly beach. It offers off road parking for two vehicles and a sunny enclosed sheltered courtyard perfect for morning coffee or afternoon tea. This pleasant coastal retreat can sleep 6 guests in three bedrooms, with one of the bedrooms located on the ground floor alongside a shower room. Porthilly is ideally situated being adjacent to the thriving holiday destination of Rock, with all the water sport activities it offers.
The ground floor bedroom has twin beds, there are two first floor bedrooms; one with bunk beds and the other has a spacious king size bed plus the family bathroom. This coastal cottage oozes character with its low beamed ceilings, shallow doorways and thick walls. The sitting room is comfortably furnished to relax in after a long day in the exhilarating Cornish air, and in the winter months; snuggle in the warmth of the multi fuel burning stove. The gentle amble down to the pretty little cove at Porthilly is wonderful for birdlife, you can see the oyster beds and buy them direct from the farm down by the beautiful St Michaels church.
If the gentle pace of life down at Porthilly is not enough for the more adventurous members of your party you can check out the surfing and coasteering at nearby Polzeath or have a go at kitesurfing or windsurfing at the glorious Daymer Bay. Simply stroll around to Rock at low tide from Porthilly and take the delightful ferry journey to the busy fishing port of Padstow to satisfy the foodies with all its restaurants and delicatessens. Rock itself has plenty of options for eating out, walk up to The Dining Room or the St Enodoc Hotel for a special supper and be home within 5 minutes. St Michaels is a perfectly situated spot from which to enjoy the area.
