Description

Located in the fishing village of Port Isaac, Cornwall, Crow’s Nest is a Grade II listed fisherman’s cottage which has been lovingly refurbished to provide a mix of original and contemporary features.

With two bedrooms, a private courtyard garden and magnificent views over the village, Crow’s Nest makes a great base to relax or explore North Cornwall.

Off-site parking is available close to the property, making it a short walk to the door where you will be greeted by a spacious sitting room with a lofty, vaulted ceiling, a woodburning stove and stunning views of the village.

Split over three floors, the entrance and sitting room is at the top of the cottage, along with a shower room with a walk-in shower and WC.

Follow the stairs down to the middle floor, where you will find two spacious and welcoming bedrooms; one double room and one super-king-size, the latter able to be a twin on request with zip/link beds.

The kitchen/diner is on the lower-ground floor and has a high-specification kitchen with all modern amenities, dining space for four people, and a stable door leading out to a private patio area with further seating to enjoy alfresco dining.

Port Isaac is an ideal location to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life; relax on sandy beaches, enjoy brisk coastal walks and stunning scenery, and dine out in fine pubs and restaurants.

There are also plenty of great places to visit nearby; head to Newquay to try out surfing on the world famous Fistral Beach which has some of the best waves in the UK, pull on your walking boots and walk the vast moorland of Bodmin Moor, or visit the Museum of Witchcraft and Magic in Boscastle.

Crow’s Nest is perfectly positioned to enjoy all of these attractions in Cornwall.

We had a wonderful week in Port Issac.

Crow's nest is the perfect accommodation. It was very clean and furnished so well. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need. The beds were very comfortable and the living room was spacious and comfortable. It's situated in a perfect spot too. We will definitely be booking it again.

An attractive and characterful house, in an excellent location in a lovely and very scenic village.

It has all the necessary facilities for a comfortable stay, but there are some impracticalities. The arrangement over three floors is part of the character of the house, but the stairs are steep and narrow, which can be challenging for some visitors. That can't be helped as it is part of the house, but people should be warned. And there is no need at all for the small TV to be stuck up on the ceiling rafters of the living room, where you cannot see it. There are no comfortable chairs in the living room. The small armchairs are directly below the TV screen, which cannot be seen overhead. The only useable sofa is at the far end of the room from the small TV, which can then only be seen at a long distance, with a crick in your neck. The lump in the middle of the room is a waste of space and cannot be used as adult seating, though it may be a plaything for toddlers. We are not all 20 years old. There is plenty of space to put the TV on a table or stand at eye level, where it can be seen easily be everyone, so why is it hidden up in the ceiling?. Also, why are the dinner plates so huge that they do not fit in the dishwasher or on the kitchen table? Why not provide some ordinary sized dinner plates? It also needs a washable chopping board for proper cooking (eg slicing onions). Whoever designed the layout and chose the dinner plates has never stayed in this house.
