Dolphin Lodge

We have had many holidays in Dolphin Lodge over the years and love the location and ambiance at Trewetha farm.

It is ideal for simply relaxing, enjoying the view and chilling out. The lodge is welcoming and comfortable but simple and faults may be found by those expecting perfection. The owners are lovely people but less involved with the day to day running than previously but we found no issues with John Bray re booking etc. Children and dogs are welcomed and enjoy the fields for running around and games. Expensive.

No contact from owners or feel that you could contact them. All correspondence seems to be about rules and money no personal contact. Loo seat hanging off. Shower stem broken. Hoover stank of dog. Plates chipped. Grass cut and not picked up so it was constantly in the bungalow. Foot path down to both ports totally overgrown. It just felt like they wanted your money. But beautuful setting and comfy beds.

great location, generally good facilities but very tired for the cost.

The floor is peeling and breaking up, finger marks over the sliding doors, cheap sheets and bed linen, weeds all around the cabin and ramp. Very well stocked, everything thought of. Welcome pack still reflects covid restrictions and a footpath map would have been handy.

This is my second stay overlooking the sea out of season.

I enjoy the quiet and the seascapes. The accommodation is very much what you would expect for a family chalet - basic but wholly adequate and roomy for a very happy stay. The bed was great. Be prepared for some steep walks to get anywhere local or to drive to somewhere like the Camel Trail if you want flat territory. Nice having ducks and chickens wandering around.

Myself and my 2 fur babies had a wonderful stay in the Dolphin Lodge over Christmas 2025.

Our accommodation was clean, warm and comfortable with everything we needed provided, quiet and peaceful, exactly what we were looking for with the most amazing view across the fields down to the sea. We are hoping for a return visit to Port Isaac later in the year and will not hesitate to book here again

Lovely location, stunning views and very quiet and peaceful.

Central to everywhere that we wanted to visit in Cornwall. The lodge was well equipped and the bed & sofas were very comfortable- great for long November evenings. Easy to access with the key box and the owners were on site although we had no need to disturb them. Would definitely stay again!

Had a great holiday at Trewetha Farm.

The lodge was spacious and well equipped and sat in the most beautiful location with far stretching views to the sea. A very special place.

Great base to explore the area, lodge waa welcoming, clean and comfortable, airy and bright, with views out over open land and the sea.

Plenty of room inside and out. Excellent location for a short stroll into Port Isaac and Port Gaverne. Plenty of places to eat and drink from pasty to posh. Beautiful walks from the door.

Had a wonderful 2 weeks stay at Dolphin Lodge.

Our lodge overlooking the sea very comfortable beds and very clean the owners lovely people. The washing machine and tumbler dryer on site helped to keep our washing to a minimum. Highly recommend the lodge and the location very close to Port Isaac. Andrew

The lodge experience was awesome very comfortable.

We have stayed in Dolphin Lodge many times over the years, the reason we keep doing so is because for us it’s just great.

Warm, comfortable, clean, great position, easy to get around Cornwall from there, great views, has everything we need. The owners are near by, but are certainly non intrusive, but there if you should need anything. We will definitely be back again

A lovely lodge in a wonderful setting, quiet with beautiful views across the fields and out to sea.

The perfect base to explore wonderful Cornwall. The lodge has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The all important WIFI was great allowing us to enjoy cosy nights in the lodge watching movies and catching up on box sets whilst also keeping the kids happy to play on they're gadgets. A shop just down the road and a stones throw to the picturesque fishing village of Port Isaac and Port Gaverne. A beautiful setting worth visiting, I would definitely return.

Lovely few days staying in Dolphin Lodge.

Everything we needed, good location and great space outside for the children to play. Will definitely come back again.

We’ve stayed at Trewetha Farm 3 times, twice in stable cottage and once in Dolphin Lodge, lovely quiet place, close enough to walk to Port Isaac and Port Gaverne.

Big field for kids to let off steam and we love feeding the goats too. We’ll certainly be back again!

Myself and my wife have just returned home from a 3 night stay at dolphin lodge, ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC, upon arrival the lodge was unlocked ready for us , the heating was on so was lovely and warm especially after a 9 hour journey, the lodge is so cosy, everything is so well thought out, very clean, once you put your clothes away that’s it , everything is there should you wish to cook, the views from the lodge is amazing, it’s a very short walk into Port Issac, i highly recommend TREWETHA FARM, we will certainly return and recommend anyone to stay there, I did speak to the owner and tell him what a fantastic lodge it is,hopefully you see this review, thank you so much for a absolutely fantastic 3 night stay, Philip & Isabel

my dog and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Dolphin Lodge :) The Lodge was very comfortable and spotlessly clean and with wonderful views over the fields and towards the sea.

.... I would only make a couple of suggestions about the Lodge itself and they are; a shelf or two would be useful in the bathroom, and, a Smart TV is a definite requirement. I shall return for another visit though..... the area is great. Joy

Very nice, sufficient facility.

A bit poor equiped in kitchen tools such as pans(no big cooking pan), sharpness of the knives. We could have known there would be British sockets, but notice in advance would have been nice. Now the farm owner helped us out, which was very helpfull. Great location for walks. Great surroundings. Recomendable!

This lodge is just as described online.

It has fabulous views over the fields to the sea, which can be viewed from the living area. The kitchen is well equipped and clean. The bathroom has an efficient shower but not much room to put anything down. For two of us it was perfectly spacious, but could be cramped for four, when the dryer has to go in the sitting room . I would recommend this for a family group staying in two or more lodges as it easy for children to visit grandparents staying next door. For an economical family holiday in October it was good value.

The most beautiful setting and really convenient for a walk in to Port Isaac.

Not far from Tintagel and some other nice coves around to visit. The lodge is looking a bit tired in places but it was clean comfortable and lovely to sit and watch sunsets in the evening. It really made our holiday. Would definitely recommend.

The location of the farm and the views from the lodge were absolutely world class, a sea view from your sofa!

The farm was spacious and relaxing. My only negative comments would be about the maintenance of the property. It wasn't really a massive thing for us as we stayed 2 nights, but a week may have been different. The shower enclosure was had mould and the shower head sprayed out in all directions. We cooked breakfast one morning and the pans were very worn, and definitely not non stick anymore. Check out time of 9.30am is a bit harsh too, especially as you're asked to strip your own beds and dispose of your own rubbish. Like I said, the views and the location were fantastic, and the property was definitely clean and OK for a couple of nights, but in the words of my 12 year old daughter, could do with a glow up

Dolphin Lodge was ideal for us to walk both legs of the Coastal path from Port Isaac.

It’s spacious clean and warm but the best feature is the stunning view over the sea from the big window . Thank you

Lovely lodge, awesome views out to sea, great walks from the door.

The nice open setting with easy access to the village was was really good. The lodge itself was comfortable, and had everything we needed. However, it wasn't as clean as we would have expected on arrival, and we had to spend some time cleaning in the kitchen and bathroom, while not ideal, it didn't spoil our stay. Everything is is a little tired, although it doesn't really matter, it all works, but wear and tear is taking it's toll. The only other point would be rubbish and recycling. It would be good to have recycling facilities on site. The information suggested we could use the facilities at the village car park, but there weren't any (maybe it's seasonal?). But overall, despite our comments, a lovely place, and great value for money.

The lodge has wonderful views and inside is clean and warm except for the bathroom which is in need of some tlc toilet flush was broken my husband fixed it shower had a lot of mould and mildew on the grouting and generally the bathroom felt uncared for.

On a positive note the bedding was very clean and comfortable.

Lovely accommodation in a both rural and costal location.

Very peaceful and quiet. The view from property was stunning. Open the main curtains and the view to the sea could be had from all rooms including lying in bed!. Take time to take the short walk to the end of the field to take in the views overlooking the bay. The owners were descreet but always available.

3excellent holiday despite the rain!

! The accommodation was great We were very impressed to find basic supplies were supplied -- salt proper Fairy Liquid tea towels , Jclothes. etc These are not supplied at other holiday properties. Easily controlled heating. Lovely and warm Cheers and thanks Maureen

In a lovely quiet location with amazing views . The addition of details of local walks and places of interest to visit in Cornwall would have been really helpful. Will definitely stay here again
