Trevan House (Lundy)

We are five sisters who stayed at Trevan House for a week on our annual trip.

A beautiful and comfortable house on the cliffs which provided everything we needed. Great views and convenient. Hope to return. Many thanks

Loved our first stay at Trevan House.

Thé location is quite remote so you need a car, but easily accessible via private road & thé house is so lovely & homely with incredible views. It was so peaceful. Staying in November, we didn’t get the best weather but you had everything you needed in this well equipped accommodation. We’ll be back; hopefully in sunnier times.

Trevan is completely unbeatable for peace and quiet. For me, Trevan is a place of joy, friends, family. As a return visitor of many times, I leave each time, longing for the next visit. From the initial drive down from the road, with the view spreading in front , to the panoramic views as you sit looking out towards Lundy, the sea and the beautiful coast take over your senses. It’s a place in my heart.

Trevan House is absolutely perfect in facilities and location, for myself and my family.

It really is a special place.The five of us almost believe the 'place is ours' from the moment we unlock the back door! Please let us know when we may book for next year as a Spring holiday without Trevan would not be the same. John Ledbury.

It has been our 10th or 11th visit to this dream of a house.

For us it is absolutely home from home, with generous size rooms, comfortable furniture and unsurpassable views. Trevan is beautifully quiet, equipped with pretty much everything you need. ( I do take my coffee machine with me). It feels like staying in a ‘home’, not a soulless holiday let. As long as your idea of a perfect holiday by the sea does not involve white panelling and seaside bunting I cannot recommend Trevan highly enough. It’s heaven. A very special place.

Unfortunately the cleaners left a towel hanging up in one of the twin bedrooms from the previous occupants, not all cooking utensils were clean, there were stains behind the downstairs toilet, floors also had stains on, other than that we had a lovely stay and enjoyed the house very much.

We loved this property, fantastic location, brilliant view, the house is lovely - clean, tidy, comfortable - really a wonderful place and we have booked to come back next year.

Lundy Bay is beautiful and so close and it almost feels like a private beach with the access from the house. However, people should be aware that it states there is Wifi but there is basically zero wifi. We couldn't get any all week and 5G was intermittent so even messages often didn't get through. People who would want to work/ enjoy the digital tv channels should be aware. And hopefully this can be improved for next year given that the next door property has perfect wifi speed (we spoke to the owner). Wifi aside, a wonderful stay in the most beautiful of settings.

Trevan House Lundy was as wonderful as ever, we all had an excellent holiday.

EV charging would be a good addition.....

Trevan is a lovely, comfortable and spacious house with spectacular views from almost every room.

A return to Trevan for the third/fourth time was hugely enjoyed by all.

This was my first visit since recent improvements which made things even better! When it was necessary to seek assistance with a 'locked door' (which wasn't! ) and with a plumbing problem everything was very quickly resolved which was much appreciated. Facilities ,Comfort, The view, (and the weather) all ensured 5 people left Trevan having had a super stay. Many Thanks.

I stayed at Trevan 6 years ago before John Bray took over.

It was amazing then. My family and I arrived this time to find all sorts of fantastic upgrades. Spotlessly decorated, amazing showers and hot water, a super new electric cooker. The new outdoor seating is brilliant and the floor throughout downstairs is way more practical.My elderly parents were very comfortable in the downstairs en suite and the new hall / tv room is genius. Beds very comfy and utility / boot area brilliant after walks. Kitchen is equipped as a home rather than a holiday house with decent knives and pans and lots of recipe books to browse. Lovely for the dog, so all round fab. Arrangements for rubbish could be clearer but that is all. 100% perfect holiday house. Thank you owners.

Trevan is a wonderfully spacious and comfortable house with spectacular panoramic views to Lundy Bay and the coast and sea beyond.

It is beautifully furnished, with interesting decorative features, quilts, paintings and other art work and has plenty of storage, cooking facilities and a wide parking area for several cars, if necessary. There is lovely local walking along the nearby cliffs in both directions and there are very many other places of interest within a short drive away. Polzeath, just down the road, is good for food, and other, shopping. We would be keen to return before too long and revisit all the places we have formed a close attachment to over many years of visiting North Cornwall. Trevan, however, was the best property of all in our experience of holidaying in this area.

Trevan is the MOST comfortable, has the MOST MAGNIFICENT views and is a place of peace and heaven.

I am slightly reluctant to recommend so highly, because I might not be able to book my week next year if you ALL go there. Perfect place for a N Coast stay.

Trevan House (Lundy) is a unique and wonderful place which I and my family find to be absolutely perfect for our holiday.

We found the staff at the John Bray office in Rock really helpful with a couple of minor queries. We are booked in for next year and already looking forward to it. Just one request, we will be in fully electric cars next year, is there any chance of putting in an EV Charger at Trevan House?

This is a beautiful house with the most magnificent location.

Easy access to the coastal path was wonderful. We loved it. The rooms are all comfortable, and a problem with the downstairs shower was solved very quickly. This house is in quite a remote spot, which means we ate in most of the time. The kitchen is really well equipped except for two items that are fairly essential : oven gloves (we couldn’t find any!) and a draining rack for the sink. Thank you for a lovely holiday.

Really wonderful home, have made some great memories here, the view is so much better in person.

Trevan is a really great house in a beautiful setting.

The views from the living room and three of the four bedrooms are spectacular. The house itself is really comfortable. It took us a while to work out that we couldn’t access Lundy Bay directly from the garden, so some more information about where the coastal paths started would have been helpful. Oh, and a sharp knife to cut up the lemons for our nightly G&T would have been useful! But those are minor niggles - everything else was great.

We adore staying at Trevan.

This is an individual style house, with incredible views. The house is beautifully and individually decorated. It feels like a proper home. It is quiet, beautifully clean, spacious and we are repeat visitors of 10 years now. It is safe and wonderful. It is our ‘haven of calm and beauty’ once a year.

We love Trevan House and were lucky to get bookings this year in spite of the Sykes lack of re-booking policy for existing customers.

And John Bray in Rock were very helpful in organising immediate sorting-out of a blocked shower drain.

This was a lovely house to go to - beautifully furnished,comfortable and spotlessly clean.

Anything we needed was there. We had such beautiful weather and incredible views that we couldn’t possibly complain about anything. We wished that we could have stayed longer. Will be recommending it to friends and are hoping to go back sometime

Just one comment - the lock on the downstairs loo is very stiff and led to a couple of temporary "lock-ins".
