Really comfortable property in great location.

Only observation was that the beds were very hard for our family.

A great property and we have stayed here many times.

Very clean and well maintained. Very well equipped. In a quiet location yet near enough to walk into Padstow. The house has a homely feel. Lots of places to visit nearby. Will be back in October.

We’ve stayed here twice before although it’s been a few years.

In a perfect location and just as we remembered it in that it’s spotlessly clean, very comfortable and well maintained. It’s got everything you need with everything on the doorstep. Harlyn Beach is a 5 min drive away, only 15/20 mins walk into Padstow and you’ve got a petrol station and Tesco supermarket, both just a couple of mins drive away also. Trevone beach is only a few mins drive away too and there’s loads of fantastic restaurants in Padstow (spoilt for choice) and you also have The Pig in Harlyn and Cornish Arms in St Merryn, which we can also recommend. Highly recommend this cottage and would definitely book again. Also, dog friendly with an enclosed front garden and rear terrace which is really important when you’ve got dogs, so another plus for us.

Our second time stopping at this property and yet again it was wonderful!

A well equipped cottage, and a lovely welcome of biscuits and a bottle of wine. Well situated in a peaceful location, with a beach about 1.5 miles away, which was perfect for the morning dog walk and only a 20 minute walk into Padstow. We will definitely be booking again!

Lovely property in a quiet location.

The cottage is close to Padstow and nearby beaches. It was very clean and tidy, and has everything needed for a relaxing stay. I will stay again.

Stayed here many times now. Clean and well equipped. Very peaceful location. Very homely. Ideally situated for walking into Padstow and visiting nearby places.

Lovely cottage.

Well equipped. We enjoyed our stay and the local area. We did leave a day early, but that was due to the impending arrival of storm Amy. A couple of minor observations, a floor mop would have been useful, especially when it’s wet, dog paws on hard floors need attention. The cottage instructions require the dishwasher to be loaded and left on. We would happily have unloaded it and put the contents away. It would make a little less work for the cleaners.

It was a beautiful cottage, just a couple of gripes really, did find the beds very firm and uncomfortable, and perhaps a little tidy up in the sitting area outside, weeds ect, really enjoyed our stay, already booked for next year

It was clean , comfortable, good location to Padstow and properties well maintained.

Individual secure garden ideal for dogs and children. Parking for two cars per cottage was excellent. Would recommend this cottage and would return. Sorrell cottage is well equipped .

Our second visit to Sorrel cottage and it didn’t disappoint.

Very clean and comfortable, good garden space for the dogs and really well situated in relation to Padstow and the surrounding coves and coastal walks . We loved it and hope to return again in the not too distant future.

The cottage is lovely in lovely surroundings.

The directions to get there were clear and accurate and it was really close to Padstow but really peaceful and quiet. The cows in the field behind the car park were a treat to see too! The cottage is well equipped and beautifully decorated, clean and tidy. I would book again in a heartbeat!

An excellent location to visit Padstow and surrounding areas, enclosed patio area at back and front garden was great for the dogs, set in a quite cul de sac .

2nd bedroom is imo set up for 2 children, not Adults, no stool or plug socket near mirror and beds being single where a little small and uncomfortable, an option of the being put together and creating a double and rearranging the room a little would solve most problems, however Cottage was clean, had everything needed and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay

It is in a very quiet area yet near enough to walk into Padstow. Very well equipped and nice and clean. Very comfortable and homely. Well maintained. Nice courtyard and front garden and good parking for 2 cars. Biscuits and fizz on arrival. Back for another stay in October. Thank you

.. we have stayed here many times... clean, comfortable..well equipped, well placed for exploring the north coast... not sure i should be writing this review... if too many people book this lovely place .. I may miss out next year!!!! .. we have booked for July and September 2025 ... Mr. lewis what has happened to the rotary line ??... no longer there!! .. will you replace?

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sorrel Cottage.

The property is clean, warm, comfortable and well equipped. There are two areas of outside space and with sunny weather we were able to sit outside. There are plenty of beautiful, sandy beaches to visit nearby. The walk into Padstow takes about half an hour and has a footpath all the way, apart from the initial lane. It is quite steeply downhill in parts (uphill on the way home!). We and our dogs would recommend Sorrel Cottage and would book again.

A beautiful and well equipped cottage - we really enjoyed our stay there.

Close enough for us to walk into Padstow - took us about 25 minutes. The cottage is in a quiet location and it was easy to get out and about - a good base for exploring Cornwall. The wine and cookies were definitely a lovely welcome surprise too. Will definitely be booking again in the future!

A wonderful week, we found the cottage cosy and completely satisfied our needs.

The location was superb, it was quiet very relaxing and in easy reach to everywhere we wanted to go. We could not have booked a better cot it was clean and very tidy, everything was there an a special thank you for the wine and cookie's I will certainly bear the cottage in mind for future visits.

Lovely cottage in rural location.

The house is very well equipped with everything. Great location if you have a hog with a fair sized enclosed front garden and an enclosed rear courtyard. 20 minute walk to Padstow Harbour, 5 minute walk to the park and ride and tesco. The only downside was that the main road at top of the lane was a bit dangerous as it was very busy and no footpath

So pleased with Sorrel Cottage.

Very clean, comfortable and well equipped. Owner contacted us to check all ok. He was very helpful re change of towels for our second week and helped solve a problem with opening velux windows. With the only improvement being the inclusion of a full length mirror we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend a stay here.

This is a beautiful cottage, with all the comforts of home.

The walk in to Padstow is about 20 minutes. The welcome pack Was a lovely addition. Xx

A lovely cottage.

Centrally placed to be able to visit lots of places. Obviously with lots of visitors things become worn. The mattresses in the twin room were uncomfortable and all the pillows could do with an update.

The property was spotless, spacious and comfortable - meeting all our requirements. Pity about the weather!

We had a lovely stay at Sorrel cottage.

It was very comfortable and welcoming. Everything was very clean and worked efficiently. I would say that it would benefit from more, different glasses ie champagne flutes and smaller spirit glasses. We would love to return and enjoy the outdoor facilities when the weather has improved.

A very well appointed cottage in a nice quiet area with only a 20 minute walk into Padstow harbour area.

The cottage was clean and comfortable with enclosed gardens for the dog. The location made it very accessible to many lovely beaches and coastal walks. A perfect base for exploring this beautiful area of Cornwall.

Overall the cottage was very good.

However I had thought the property was at Padstow but it was about half a mile outside Padstow along a very dark country late with no lighting. This was a real issue for me as I had 2 friends staying 2 nights, but after that I was alone at the cottage and had to walk back from Padstow in the dark. As a result I had to change my plans considerably. In addition, the main bedroom en suite shower did not seem to have hot water so I had to use the other shower as well as my 2 friends staying.

A lovely place overall we had a lovely time.

It is quiet and well equipped, the showers were great and we loved the garden areas as dis the dog. We appreciated the games, books etc and the wi fi was great. However aspects of the property are very dated and falling apart like the blinds, window locks and door locks, some of the bathroom taps were loose, the toilet flush in the main bedroom doesn't always work. The sofa and chair were quite shabby and the dining chairs very creaky. The oven smelled every time we tried to use it so we gave up, and the hob made odd loud clicking noises all day so might need looking at? We thought that the property was further from the town and a much harder walk than had been advertised, especially as much of it has no path so you have to walk in the road which we felt could/should have been mentioned. But again, we did enjoy our stay and the added touches such as prosecco and biscuits were very lovely. Thank you!

Had a super week and the well equipped cottage had everything we needed .

It was very well placed for exploring the area and was good to be able to walk in to Padstow and not have to consider parking the car - although a bit of a pull back up the hill at times ! Would love to stay there again .

Beautiful cottage, spotlessly clean and very well equipped.

Home from home ! Comfortable beds and lovely showers. Not as close to Padstow town as we thought but only a short walk away and does them save you the hassle to find a parking space in busy times. Great location for exploring the seven bays and Eden project etc. A* - highly recommend

We were disappointed at how far it was from Padstow.

I had the impression it was in the village itself. It might be a short walk for younger people but not so for older people. However the property was very well equipped and very comfortable and we would recommend it on those criteria.

A great place.

Quiet and peaceful. Very well equiped and super clean. Comfortable furniture and beds. A very enjoyable week. Not a stones throw from the harbour as stated on the website, but that didn’t affect our holiday.

Good area to stay but feel the house does need some updating , furnishings etc.

This was our first stay in a Sykes Cottage and Sorrel Cottage certainly did not disappoint.

Our two dogs loved it. We will certainly re-book for future stays in Padstow.

Single beds could be wider, ok for children but not adults.

Garden back patio definitely needed tidying up, foot high weeds .

A full length mirror would be very useful A mirror near a plug socket to do hair A second key for front door, only one key for the back and front door is a fire hazard.

If the key was left in the back door and there was a fire in the lounge you would not be able to escape The accuracy with ref to the picture is misleading, the property is dark inside, picture shows windows which is property next door Overall a very nice property in a good location, would recommend

Cottage is clean and well equipped... and warm for the` chilly` nights.. is situated in the right spot. easy access to Trevone, Padstow, Treyarnon. etc just what you need for a bit of R&R... OOh ! and the biscuits and prosecco were again very welcome and a lovely thought. Thank -You

We found Sorrel Cottage to be tastefully decorated, comfortably furnished and well equipped.

Allocated parking spaces, enclosed areas front and back and the open plan downstairs layout was perfect for us as a couple with a small dog. Lots of lovely walks and dog friendly beaches within a short drive. The out of town location suited us perfectly and would definitely recommend for those looking for a base for exploring the area. We would happily book again. The walk into town includes a no-pavement section of the busy A389 (unless we missed the ‘rural country road’ referred to in the listing), so it’s worth taking a look at google street view to assess the suitability of the route if you anticipate doing that during your stay.

Fantastic cottage with everything we could have needed.

Only slight downside was that when the wind was blowing, (well it is February), it seems to blow straight through the front door. Very enjoyable in every way though. Beautifully furnished, the leather suite was super comfortable. The bottle of Prosecco and Cornish biscuits was a lovely touch. We will definitely return.

The configuration of the living area is a great family and entertaining place. Wonderful to have two on suite bedrooms and an enclosed backyard for the dog. Em padstow

We stayed at Sorrel Cottage over Christmas and had a great stay, the cottage was well equipped and the biscuits and prosecco on arrival was a lovely thought, being Christmas we had a lot of groceries so had to juggle with space for storage but i don't think this would be a problem at any other time of the year.

the secure gardens back and front were a god send for the dogs, nothing to do with the cottage but the walk into Padstow was a little far for my elderly mother. if we had one niggle is that the heating seemed a little out of synch on the timer, but small issue as the cottage stayed warm once the heating was on. The owners were in touch before and after our stay which was nice. Overall i would highly recommend, my comments are for info only.

Myself and my husband have just returned from a lovely week staying at Sorrell Cottage just outside Padstow.

Everything we needed was there, very comfortable for us. The wine and biscuits were lovely. The walk into Padstow probably 25minutes, where you will find a good selection of restaurants and shops. We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday.

We arrived at sorrel cottage late on Saturday afternoon, immediately we felt at home.

The cottage was very clean, bright and had everything we needed. Hope to come back again soon and enjoy our favourite part of Cornwall. The enclosed garden and courtyard were great for our dogs, safe and secure. Would definitely recommend this cottage. Thank you to the owners Keron and Janet and the cleaning ladies who do a great job.

Great cottage, just the right size and layout for two couples and a dog or two.

Everything you could think of was provided and a bottle of Prosecco and biscuits were a lovely surprise. Fantastic location, away from the busy Padstow centre but definitely walkable in 25 minutes, although the walk back could be difficult for some (it is possible to get a bus up the hill, or park in the car park half way to break up the climb!). Would definitely book again.

I would definitely return. Personally though i really dont see the need to only allow access at 5 when you have to vacate by 9am.

What a beautiful cottage in a beautiful part of the country.

We loved our stay at Sorrel Cottage and will definitely be back. Everything is so well organised, from check in, to cottage information, you name it. And the cottage has everything you need, and more. The beds are very comfortable. It is in a great position with easy access to many of the stunning beaches and coastal walks on the west coast. I can highly recommend Sorrel Cottage.

The cottage was so homely and Cosy, it’s was well equipped and we didn’t want to leave it.

While we there we had 2 bad storms and we noticed that there was a leak through the bottom of the front door and could benefit from some draft excluder. This was no ones fault as the storm was pretty excessive. The storage bin on the patio had lost its lid so the items in there were blowing around, hopefully nothing got lost. It didn’t stop our enjoyment of the cottage though it was lovely. Thank you

Lovely location just a short walk from Padstow centre.

Easy to access other areas. Lovely stay for New Year

Comfortably the very worst place that I have ever been in.

There are no cupboards available. All full. Everything must be stored on kitchen side or on floor. There are no surfaces available for Computer. There is no way to dry towels . I hang them over door. The house is for four people how they dry towels within 24 hours is beyond me. My cereals have to sit on the side. The bath with shower over has nowhere for shower gel and shampoo. I use shower in 2nd. Small soap dish for gel. Nowhere for shampoo. Nowhere for towel so hang it over sink. I can just reach from within shower. I am intending to leave on Wednesday 4th ten days before end of rental. I cannot wait to leave and be back to usual place on 2nd Jan for 11weeks. Wardrobe in 2nd bedroom does no shut. Fan in double bedroom is only working one. No others work. I suggest you drop it like a poisiness snake or proverbial hot cakes! Hideous or halve rent!

Sorrel Cottage was perfect, beautifully presented with everything you could need.

Super comfy bed and furniture and all mod cons. We loved the decor and the tasteful seaside feel. It was a real home from home and we can’t wait to visit again. Being able to bring our dogs was a big plus but it was so well kept you would never know another dog had been there. Roll on next summer.

Excellent cottage.

Only drawback is the distance from the heart of padstow.

It said the harbour was a stone throw away from accommodation, I am disabled so could not make the walk had to drive all the time and my wife does not drive so I was hoping we cold walk down together as I know harbour it along side shops places to eat etc shops etc, we even rang to ask told yes not very far at all to walk, it was down a long lane no footpath and again on main road no foot path, spoilt our holiday really.

The walk into Padstow takes about 20 minutes downhill and longer on the way back. The walk is also along the side of a busy road with limited footpaths. Would not be suitable for people with mobility or health issues.
