The bag of goodies on arrival was a really nice touch. Just a few minor things, which didn't affect our holiday, but as feedback has been asked for I thought worth mentioning. Cleaning was so, so (in particular the smeary glass kitchen cupboards and shower) - we stayed at the very beginning of easter, and it looked like the house hadn't been given the once over prior to arrival. Again minor point, which is maybe the agents fault? There were also inconsistent house instructions; we were sent some info by the agent, and there were 2 files in the house, with differing info eg on bin days (I braved the storms on Monday night as one file said bin collection was Tuesday, only to find it was actually on Friday). Doesn't take much to check that kind of thing, which again is surely the agents responsibility? And probably doing itself disservice not to show photos of the games room in the garage (which is fab) and to promote the lovely welcome food bag.
So positives: fab cottage, amazing location, would definitely want to stay again, the online info doesn't do it justice! Negatives: would benefit from more attention to detail in terms of cleaning, and consistent correct cottage information would add to the overall experience. Maybe is it because it's under Sykes management?
