    “We have just returned from a fantastic couple of days staying at the Atlantis.”

    Firstly the property owner was very helpful and felt very approachable. The property was just perfect and exactly what we wanted. It was close to the beach, close to shops and restaurants. The kids loved their stay and the secure garden was great for the kids and dog. The property was clean and comfortable. I would highly recommend and would definitely be returning in the future.

The property

PLEASE NOTE: Atlantis is designed to sleep a maximum of 8 adults and 2 children. Atlantis is a stylishly renovated detached holiday home, set in an elevated position with wonderful views over Polzeath beach, Hayle Bay and the surrounding countryside. Surfers and swimmers will greatly appreciate the ability to gauge the sea conditions from the comfort of Atlantis before making the short five minute walk to the beach. Outside, the house features front and rear gardens, a wooden decking area with the rear garden off the living room and conservatory with views over Polzeath beach and a wonderful first floor terrace with far reaching views out to sea. At the side is an outside shower and decking under a porch with storage for surfboards etc.... At the front there is off street parking for 2/4 cars as the front grassed area next to the drive can be utilised for additional parking if required. The accommodation sleeps up to ten and comprises: 4 Bedrooms, 3 bath/shower rooms, outside shower, utility/drying room, Kitchen/dining/living room, conservatory, viewing room and is arranged as follows: Ground Floor Entrance hall leads to: Kitchen/dining/living room, French doors to rear decking and garden, conservatory. Bunk room: sleeping up to four with bunk beds, single bed with pull out single trundle bed, wash hand basin. Twin room: sleeping two in single beds. Bathroom : paneled bath with built in shower screen, shower and mixer taps, WC, basin, heated towel rail. Shower room: WC, shower cubicle with electric shower, wash basin, heated towel rail. Uitility room: Butlers sink, drying rack, washer/dryer, door to .... Outside shower with decking and storage for surfboards etc..... From the main entrance hall a spacious hallway with stairs leads up to .... First Floor: Viewing room with sliding glazed doors on to a terrace looking out to sea. (Millboard decking with water-clearing brush as can be wet after rain!) Bedroom 1: King sized double bed. Bathroom: Bath with mixer taps, wash basin, WC, heated towel rail. Bedroom 2: Super king sized double or twin zip and link 3 ft single beds.(please advise preference when booking). The bed configuration will be made up as per the description. If you require the beds to be made up differently, please inform us at least 7 days prior to your arrival date. If you are staying for longer than two weeks please contact us in advance to advise of any mid stay linen and towel changes.

About the location

POLZEATH

Wadebridge 7.5 miles; Padstow 16 miles.

The seaside village of Polzeath boasts a sandy beach, which is bordered by rock pools and is acclaimed to be one of the best surfing beaches in the country. Polzeath itself has a number of small shops, cafes and restaurants, and the South West Coast Path, a 630-mile route, runs through the village. Just over seven miles away is the popular market town of Wadebridge, which is set alongside the River Camel and offers an array of shops, pubs and restaurants, as well as North Cornwall's only family-owned cinema. There’s wonderful countryside in the area, with the renowned Camel Trail passing through the town, and the nearby town of Padstow, with its harbour, pastel-washed medieval houses and celebrated restaurants is well worth exploring. Within driving distance is the UK surfing capital of Newquay, with over 11 miles of golden sandy beaches. Polzeath is an excellent base for exploring this part of Cornwall.

Bedroom 1 is made up as a Superking zip link bed, if you require these to be configured differently, please contact us at least a week before your stay.

Garden Gate: Guests may use the garden gate giving direct access to The Oyster Catcher pub at the bottom of the garden. The gate is only secured by two bolts as the combination lock is not in use and by a wooden latch having entered the Oyster Catchers garden. This access is agreed on the understanding that all guests will please make sure the gate is securely bolted shut again once you have re entered Atlantis for obvious security reasons.
