Absolutely lovely house!
Had everything we needed and with two families staying we had enough space. Big saucepans enough plates etc all helped. The floors are all solid so even when the teenagers were asleep downstairs they couldn’t hear us moving around upstairs in the kitchen. The location is perfect and the walk down the steps isn’t as bad (steep) as we thought it would be! It desperately needs a rail out on the big balcony as there is no where to hang wetsuits. Some more comfier seats would be better on the front balcony as that’s where we all sat for the view. Also more mirrors in the bedrooms are needed, there was only a tiny mirror so made it difficult to dry hair etc. These are minor issues as overall it was a brilliant house! We have booked for next year as we loved it so much! Would highly recommend!
The house was clean but the dining table outside was very dirty and had not been cleaned for some time.
Difficult review to write as the overall stay was brilliant.
Just slightly let down by small things. 1 toilet roll per bathroom not really adequate for the price same for kitchen roll both of which we had to purchase for the first time staying at a Sykes place. On the linen change no replacement pillow cases provided for all the beds. One of the side windows in the lounge did not close properly but was not a problem. The facilities were first class but would have benefited from a coffee maker as we have had in other stays. Finally and probably most important to us as a family is the total lack of outside shower and wetsuit drying area. Most other properties in the unit eg. Epphaven have this available and this had been mentioned in a review left in the guest book. The property has a first class location with stunning views across the beach and brilliant parking facilities.
