“This accommodation is terrible and all I wanted to do was go home: - mattresses are so uncomfortable we had to sleep with duvets on top - dirty bathroom and floors covered in dog hairs - sofa saggy and smelly - shower drained blocked with hair - Yuk!”

We had to clear it out - garden totally overgrown - whole place smells damp and musty - hot water only worked now and again so many cold showers had to be ensured. - outside light not working. This property should not be let out until it has been upgraded. The owner should know that the cleanliness and maintenance is extremely poor and I'm sure they're paying for a service they're not getting. If it wasn't so far for us to go and we were meeting people in the area I would have left straight ...

If it wasn't so far for us to go and we were meeting people in the area I would have left straight away and gone home. No way worth the money. Very unhappy customer. I was not aware that this holiday was with John Bray who have had terrible reviews as I booked through Sykes so very disappointed with that as I've always trusted Sykes for quality and used them many times.

How reviews work

About the location

PORT ISAAC

Polzeath 6.5 miles; Padstow 16 miles

Port Isaac; one of the true Cornish treasures. A beautiful fishing village nestling in a steep sided valley, the old village in the valley remains unchanged from its days of fishing, slate export and smuggling in the previous century. An abundance of small character properties complemented by larger cliff-top retreats, can be found with easy access to the numerous restaurants and shops of the village. The sandy harbour provides an abundance of rock pools as the tide retreats. Only ten minutes drive from the beaches of Polzeath, Daymer and Rock, it is perfect for romantic and family holidays alike. There is ample parking at the top of the village.
