The location was ideal and it was compact (and was as described) but had everything we needed for a week away - and with the mod coms.

However, there were a couple of issues during our stay. Unfortunately, the dishwasher did not work (it did not seem to be plumbed in as the tap flashed constantly) and was not repaired while we were there so we could not use this. We also had a problem with the battery-operated front door lock when the battery died and locked us out. To Syke’s credit, this was resolved the same day, although we were relieved it didn't happen later in the evening as it took until the afternoon for someone to come out.
The only other downside was the bed. As two tall adults, we found the double bed far too small. The bedroom appeared large enough to accommodate two single beds pushed together with a mattress topper, which we feel would have provided a much better sleeping arrangement.
Overall, despite a few maintenance issues, we enjoyed our stay and found the cottage to be well located and good value for a base to explore the area.
For parking, we used the Link Road car park, which was about a 5-minute walk from the cottage. One of the routes is quite steep and includes steps, so it's worth bearing in mind if you're arriving with heavy luggage. The £29 weekly parking ticket was excellent value, and we were able to come and go as we pleased without ever struggling to find a space.

Thank you for your feedback. We are pleased that you enjoyed the cottage and Padstow and are sorry that you had to arrange for our support team to come to the Cottage during your stay, regrettably the dishwasher failed and we have replaced this with a new one as the pump was not replaceable. A new unit is being installed on the 16th September.
The door battery was replaced as you advised on the same day, the unit warning does alert the need to change the batteries but has fourteen days grace.
In terms of the description on the Double Bed, this is a standard size and is included in the property description. In the future we will look at the options when we replace the bed, and your feedback is very helpful.
