We had a great time.

The house is clean, beds very comfortable, towels new. Centre of the village. great location. Rock Fish and chips best takeawy. Would highy recommend to others. One or two small suggestions/recommendations - a few Beach towels even if old-house ones. Face cloth, and maybe some small shampoo / body wash

We had a fantastic week at this lovely cottage in a great location.

There was plenty of room for our family of nine, ranging from 73 to 7 years old, plus our two dogs. The area is brilliant, with a small grocery store, bakery, butcher, fishmongers, and several places to eat and drink all within walking distance. During our stay we enjoyed drinks at the brewery and local pub, grabbed takeaway pizza one night, and finished the week with an amazing meal at The Mariners. We spent time relaxing at Rock Beach, swimming and enjoying the sunshine, took the foot ferry over to Padstow, enjoyed daily morning walks with the dogs down to Porthilly Cove, and made the short drive to Polzeath for more beach time and surf lessons. We were incredibly lucky to enjoy a heatwave during half-term. With everything we needed close by and easily accessible on foot, we hardly needed to move the cars all week. Had the weather been less favourable, we may have needed to travel a little more to keep the children entertained, but for us it was the perfect setup. Just two small suggestions: the bathroom door locks could do with some attention, and a second fridge would be really useful. One small fridge isn't quite enough for a group of nine, so we were grateful to have brought an electric cool box with us. Overall, a fabulous cottage in a wonderful location. We had a great family holiday and would happily return.

I booked this property for a family Christmas - 5 adults and 4 children.

We all loved it and had a really enjoyable stay. There was the perfect amount of space for us all - my teenager enjoyed having his own single bedroom, while the three younger girls loved having a room together on the top floor! The double bedrooms were all a good size, nicely decorated and comfortable. The dining table and benches were perfect for us all to sit and eat together, while the seating in the lounge area was cosy and comfortable. There was everything we needed to cook a roast dinner! The outdoor games room was an added bonus, especially appreciated by my teenager - and made a great addition to the property. Everything we needed was there - the property was lovely and clean, with a nice ‘homely’ touch, with games, DVDs and books to borrow during our stay. The location was perfect - we walked to nearby attractions, with some great options for food and drink, and even caught the ferry across the water to Padstow, for a day-trip! All in all a really lovely family holiday, Thank you Samantha and family. **My only criticism is not about the property, but about the issues I had after booking - I had a few simple questions, but could not get hold of anyone to answer them… I tried your website, I tried the phone number in my email booking, but all kept bringing me back to a frustrating AI style response, which repeatedly asked me for my booking details, personal details etc and still failed to answer my question! A direct number to a real person would have been a quick and easy solution. (This was why I gave a 6 out of 10 regarding recommending your service to others. The booking itself was straightforward and the information sent by e-mail was very helpful. I also received two phone calls once we were at the property, with an emergency contact number, which was great… if there were a way to speak with a real person during the booking, if needed - this would vastly improve the overall experience).
