Little Sailing

Second time staying at this property it has all we needed and more, very comfortable & great location.

We have just spent a lovely week in Little Sailing which is in a perfect position in Rock.

A very well equipped and comfortable Bungalow, within easy walking distance of all essential shops - a terrific Bakery, Fishmongers, Groceries in a local mini Market (Spar) plus some wonderful Gift Shops & Coffee Shops. To have everything to hand and of such good quality for a small Village is a bonus! The Bungalow was spotlessly clean, well maintained with every piece of equipment we could have wished for and we would love to visit again. My only area of concern was thst the Garden, which was neither private or secure. The fencing at the front of the Bungalow was solid and looked quite new. But there was a gap between the end of the fencing and the Bungalow, which looked as if it should have housed a gate. When we sat in the garden, any passer by could see us or indeed could have walked very easily into the garden and around the property and within very close proximity. That is the only complaint we had about this Bungalow - but an important one I think - as it was a super base for a holiday and we loved the peacefulness in this quiet residential area of Rock.

This is the third time that we have saved at little sailing.

It is a wonderful place to stay, Rock is an ideal place to base yourselves when exploring Cornwall. The accommodation is like Home from Home has everything that you need and more. The property is clean and well maintained. On arrival the back door lock appeared broken we called the letting agent and it was fixed within 24 hours for us brilliant service. We hope to visit again very soon.

Fabulous bungalow - we didn’t want to leave !

We were with my mother who is 91 and the bungalow was great for her as it’s all on one level. Great location , near to shops and restaurants and only a short walk to the ferry to Padstow.

The family felt instantly relaxed and happy there. It was a great location for us using Daymer Bay, almost daily, walks and general exploring. Be careful of the bakery near by. It is additctive :)

This was a really comfortable bunglalow for 4 adults and 2 children.

It had everything we needed, plenty of space and felt very homely. It’s in a great location, only a short walk to the lovely shop, amazing bakery and best chip shop we’ve been to for a long time. It was a peaceful place to stay, after visiting the busier areas nearby (like Padstow and Polzeath) it was nice to come back to the quieter area of Rock to relax. It’s a great bungalow in great location, we had a wonderful stay in Cornwall.

Location was great and the bungalow was ideal. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely book again if we return to Rock. Thank you

The property was as described and the living space was larger than we expected.

There was plenty of hanging and storage space in the 2 larger bedrooms, and the 3rd room was fine for our party as only 1 person used the room. The bungalow was well equipped with what was needed. Small point but a pair of tongs for using the grill would be great, although we managed without. There were comments about the garden being open if a dog was in the garden, but we were able to move the bench across the space and this was sufficient. The property is well positioned- just a short walk to the local shops and about 1km to Porthilly Cove along a public footpath. We would definitely return if staying in Rock.

Great property very clean, comfy beds, very well equipped with everything we needed and more.

Only problem we had was although pets are welcome the garden is not secure and a dog could easily escape.

A lovely well-stocked house in a quiet neighbourhood.

I had a few sleepless nights due to the noisy boiler which is situated by the bedrooms. The kitchen hot water tap also needs looking at as the water pressure is very low. All in all, I did enjoy my stay at Little Sailings and would return in the future.

A great property in an excellent location.

Had everything you could possibly need but most importantly super clean and comfy beds and gorgeous fluffy white towels. The kitchen was fabulous with every item you could want but would be helpful if there was an empty cupboard for food and provisions

Little Sailing was perfect for our party of five.

Lots of space, all necessary equipment, very comfortable beds, lovely outdoor space and a great location - easy to walk to Rock and the beach, ideal for the shops and a short drive to other beaches. Would happily rebook.

Lovely location, clean and spacious.

The only thing that concerned us was the lack of cupboard space for food! There was plenty of pots, pans, and crockery - but they took up nearly all of the available space. That said, we had a wonderful holiday and would certainly return.

We enjoyed staying and found it was comfortable and worked well generally.

The location is excellent. It would be great if the front garden/patio could be made dog secure, and if one of the showers could be a bit stronger.

Lovely bungalow, spacious and well equipped.

Warm and welcoming with comfortable beds and bedding. Really enjoyed our stay and felt at home here. Only tip - we didn’t find ANY condiments or the like so bring your own down to salt, pepper and oil if you want to cook/eat at the house!

Really lovely cottage, spacious, warm and comfortable plus very well equipped.

We took things to make a cake but everything was there. Lots of lamps and hooks, everything really you needed to feel like home. Great location for walking down to the sea, basically one long road, plus there’s a fabulous pasty shop up the road. One thing to mention, the satnav doesn’t take you directly to that bungalow. It takes you to one on the road opposite, arriving in the dark late at night it took us about 10 minutes to locate it by driving around the block five times, would be really helpful to have further directions to explain exactly where the property is. Outside of this … perfect !!

Perfect stay cant wait to come back soon

I booked this cottage after speaking to a rep from Sykes.

I was assured that the back garden was secure for my dog. On arrival & inspection the back garden is not secure as there are big gaps in the hedge & no wire fencing. The front garden, where the terrace & patio furniture is, opens directly onto the road & driveway also making it unsafe for dogs & small children. The bungalow is lovely but our stay would have been more relaxed had we been able to open the doors from the lounge onto the patio or from the kitchen onto the back garden. Other customers have reported same in the visitors book. If the fencing was sorted I would happily stay again but not until that.

Would think of re booking in the future

Clean and comfortable and well equipped.

Would definitely recommend.
