“We enjoyed our holiday at Garden House in Rock and would recommend this accommodation to larger parties, including families with children.”

The living areas provided a great communal space to eat and socialise together, without being on top of each other. The living areas provided a great communal space to eat and socialise together, without being on top of each other. In terms of facilities, we felt that the accommodation lacked some finishing touches which would have improved our experience…. not deal breakers by any means but just would have enhanced the experience. We enjoy a glass of fizz so would have appreciated some flutes to drink out of and perhaps some serving dishes so we could share snacks. In terms of practical things – we hadn’t realised when we booked that we needed to provide our own bed linen and towels. We have never had to do this in any accommodation we have booked previously and maybe wouldn’t have booked had we known this was the case. We didn’t have kingsize or single bedding sets so had to source these before we arrived. The pillows and quilts provided weren’t great quality and perhaps a better labelling system rather than using a marker pen on pillows could be considered in future. I would also recommend waste bins in the bedrooms. We could tell that the bathrooms and kitchen have been upgraded. The bathrooms were lovely but the kitchen is high maintenance – the cabinet door finish looks lovely but finger marks are difficult to remove. The cabinet handles are not going to last very long and perhaps a larger handle with double fixings would have been a better choice for this large property. We do have a dog so having a completely enclosed garden would have been an added benefit to us. The location worked well for us, we could travel to visit the many beautiful beaches nearby and enjoyed many of the local bars and restaurants where we enjoyed some fabulous food. We regularly hopped on the ferry from Rock over to Padstow and back on the days we didn’t want to drive. End
