Church Rooms

We love staying at church rooms.

From the moment we walked in we felt like we had come home. It was immaculate and clean. The welcome bag with scones, jam and clotted cream was devoured almost immediately. Such a bonus having a charging point for our EV. So close to the coastal path and village and also a short walk to Port Gaverne to eat at the wonderful ‘Pilchards’. We all had an amazing holiday and were sad to leave.

We’ve stayed in Port Isaac many times and usually down the hill.

Church Rooms is the best accommodation we have stayed in Port Isaac or anywhere in Cornwall. It had absolutely everything you could needs, is beautifully designed and decorated. Perfect for a family break! We will definitely be returning.

What a delightful stay in a wonderful property.

Everything catered for and extremely comfortable. Church rooms have an ideal location in our favourite Cornish village and close to one of our favourite restaurants, Nathan Outlaws fish kitchen. Also would recommend the Chapel café (for Sunday lunch) and the local fish & chip shop (all visited during our stay). We have booked through John Bray several times and have never been disappointed. The only reason we knocked a point down for cleanliness was due to finding two bags of laundry behind the front door on arrival (couldn’t leave a message when we called). We quickly dropped these in the utility bathroom & got on with what we can only describe as a fantastic holiday. Highly recommend.

We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay at Church Rooms.

This is a lovely house which has a wonderful feel, is very comfortable and in a good location. Everything is well designed and high quality. The en-suite bathrooms have very good showers, the beds are extremely comfortable. Parking for two cars - it’s best to reverse in to the space - and EV charging is a real bonus. Of all the houses we have stayed in on our many visits to the area, this is by far the best, and I’d thoroughly recommend it.

It was a fantastic property.

Really modern decor, extremely clean and well presented, great location for walk into port Isaac and along the coastal path. Also close to Port Gaverne so able to walk down and enjoy a drink and dinner at Pilchards. All in all a fantastic holiday. Can’t wait to go back. Thank you

Always a good sign…. and the property certainly feels like a home-from-home. It was everything we expected - and more…. and how nice to have a welcome cream tea upon arrival too.

Thoroughly enjoyed our 2nd stay at this property - would be very happy to return again.

Minor points.....clothes rail would be helpful and the lounge can get very warm without blinds. Overall fabulous property in fabulous location.

An excellent holiday home with everything you could need for an enjoyable stay with the added bonus of parking for 2 cars plus the electric charger.

Church Rooms is a beautiful property and we had a fabulous stay.

We know the area well so knew it was perfectly positioned. The property has been done with great care, is beautifully decorated and so comfortable. Having en-suites in every bedroom was brilliant. Unfortunately the key snapped off in the lock on the first night and it was not easy to contact anyone, which could have been disastrous. Once we managed to get someone in The Rock office it was sorted but that is why I gave four stars above. We so struggled to find anything to hang washing on which would be a handy addition. Loved loved the house, I would highly recommend this property.

We were delighted with the property , the whole cottage is so beautifully furnished and every comfort considered.

We had a wonderful stay and will definitely be booking again next year!

Wardrobe doors did not fit properly.

Would be nice to have had a butter dish and a toast rack. Be very helpful to have had information in view. Took us three days to find. Garden furniture was still in covers. Saying all that it is a fabulous property and we enjoyed our Stay. Rather hard to get in touch with you, wanted to say a parcel was left on next door step all day. It is in cupboard where boiler is. Had man hammering on door one evening telling us it would be stolen if we left it out!

Excellent property all round, good sized bedrooms and living spaces, superbly presented and high standard of appliances, fittings and utensils.

Clearly a lot of thought a d money has gone into renovating this property - with an excellent outcome.

This property was absolutely stunning.

Great location and excellent all round. EV charging meant it was a huge relief not having to worry about charging. The house itself is beyond beautiful, we loved it.

We enjoyed a very relaxing stay in Church Rooms and were all very impressed with the quality of the accommodation.

We had seen it being renovated last year and were keen to stay there when we saw it was available this year. The quality of the fixtures and fittings was excellent and everything we needed was provided. We appreciated the goody bag that was left for our arrival and were able to spend a few nights watching the sunset from the lounge and the mezzanine with a glass of wine. The location of the house was superb and we were pleased to have secure parking facilities. Port Isaac is a brilliant base for north Cornwall and beyond and we would not hesitate to recommend Church Rooms to any of our friends visiting the area. I am sure we will be looking to return.

The attention to detail is exceptional. The location is the best we have stayed in Cornwall. Port Isaac itself is such a beauty of a place and local shops and restaurants a short walk away. The house itself comfortably sleeps six people over two levels with views that make your heart skip a beat. A really memory making week we will be sure to return. Port Gaverne is a must. Pilchards restaurant a treat ! We often try to move around the beautiful locations of Cornwall from year to year we are not sure we could do that now we have found Church Rooms. Victoria and Scott.
