The property

**Please note dogs not accepted from January 2021** Folly 2 is a three storey semi-detached holiday house set in a fabulous location in Port Issac with magnificent views overlooking the harbour and out to sea from all the principle rooms. This wonderful self catering holiday house has a small open terrace and parking for one car, just a gentle stroll down the hill from all the village amenities. On Friday nights in the summertime, the famous Fisherman's Friends gather on the Platt to sing their atmospheric sea shanties, a memorable way to spend the first night of your holiday in this picturesque village. Folly 2 lends itself well for two families to share, sleeping 8 in 4 bedrooms with 3 bathrooms. Beautiful, original fireplaces are a highlight here along with the enormous windows, which let in so much light and all the beauty of the sea, cliff and harbour views. There are two king size bedrooms on the first floor both benefiting from those sea and harbour views, one has its own en-suite shower room and a further bathroom across the landing. On the top floor one bedroom has two single beds and sea views. There is a further double bedroom with views of the headland and Lobber and a Shower room. Not only featured from the outside in Doc Martin, Folly 2 also features in the actual film for the Fishermen's Friends films so you will truly be staying in a piece of famed history here! Why not have a movie night while here and pick out all the scenes with it in? When meandering through the lanes you can spot the familiar sights from the film and the Doc Martin TV series where it is fondly name 'Port Wenn'. Port Isaac has lots of lovely places to eat from fine dining to quaint teashops, where you can relax with a drink and take in all the sights and sounds of this vibrant fishing village. The South West coast path can be joined just above the house taking you around Lobber point and on as far as your legs are willing, on this stunning but challenging stretch of coast. The nearby towns of Wadebridge and Camelford are both about 10 minutes away by car, offering banks, sports centres and more independent shops. For the surfers and boogie-boarders in your group, pack the car for a day trip to nearby Polzeath beach, while Rock offers ideal conditions for sailing and waterskiing along the Camel estuary. You can also catch the ferry from Rock to Padstow to explore this historic harbour town.Ground floor: Kitchen Dining Room, sea and harbour views Sitting Room, sea and harbour views First Floor: Bedroom 1: King size bed (5ft), en suite Shower/W, sea and harbour views Bedroom 2: King size bed (5ft), sea and harbour views Bath/W.C. About the location

PORT ISAAC

Polzeath 6.5 miles; Padstow 16 miles

Port Isaac; one of the true Cornish treasures. A beautiful fishing village nestling in a steep sided valley, the old village in the valley remains unchanged from its days of fishing, slate export and smuggling in the previous century. An abundance of small character properties complemented by larger cliff-top retreats, can be found with easy access to the numerous restaurants and shops of the village. The sandy harbour provides an abundance of rock pools as the tide retreats. Only ten minutes drive from the beaches of Polzeath, Daymer and Rock, it is perfect for romantic and family holidays alike. There is ample parking at the top of the village.

Please be aware access road to the house is very narrow
Please note mobile phone signal is sporadic in the village
