“Nice cottage, nice location, comfortable.”
Lots of hot water and lovely fresh bedding and towels.
We rented another cottage in Bude prior to our stay and had a lovely welcome pack and it smelt amazing, lots of local information.
On arrival sadly the cottage smelt overwhelming of fish on arrival, it took 3 days for it to smell less fishy, whilst I appreciate you can’t help what a previous person may cook, there could have been an attempt to freshen it up a little.
The toaster was still covered in bread crumbs on arrival and only works once before having to be cooled down to use again, not ideal with a family of four.
A little more effort would bring this cottage up to a higher standard.
We have been reviewing all of our feedback over this years season, we just wanted to say a massive thank you for taking the time to feedback on your stay. Your comments were noted by us here at John Bray Cornish Holidays and were raised to rectify. We hope you still managed to enjoy your visit despite these issues and would love to welcome you back to North Cornwall in the future. John Bray on behalf of the owner. Property Owner

The property has parking for 3 cars.
This delightful converted stone barn is filled with traditional features and charm. Recently renovated, Orchard Cottage was orignally two separate cottages now merged with two separate wings on the ground floor. The right wing boasts an attractive double bedroom, family bathroom and a twin bedroom. The left wing is more private with the second twin bedroom, a generous sized shower room and a utility area equipped with plenty of storage cupboards and a sink. The first floor can be accessed from both wings where you can enjoy nearby farmland and countryside views from the living room. The lounge area has a range of seating where you can sink into a chair with a book or watch a favourite movie. For wet weather days or nights in, Orchard Cottage has it covered, challenge your friends and family to a game of table tennis or table football in the living area with all the bats and balls supplied. The bright kitchen diner is a well- equipped space with a fridge freezer, oven, microwave and plenty of cupboard space for your food delivery.
Trelights is a pretty hamlet that is away from the hustle and bustle of the beachside villages, yet still within a few miles drive from the north Cornwall coast. Book a table at the Longcross Hotel at the top of the hill where you can enjoy some delicious local delicacies with a view of the coast and why not explore the Victorian gardens and grounds; the only public gardens on the north Cornwall coast. Within a mile from Trevathan Farm Shop, a local store with fresh groceries and locally sourced ingredients including a delicious cafe. Just over 3 miles away, a day out in Port Isaac is well recommended, sampling hot Cornish pasties, catch of the day, or tackling the coastal paths on the cliffs with stunning views over the harbour. Be sure to visit ITV Series Doc Martin's house and catch the sea shanty singers on the platt during the summer months.
