The property

Seaworthy is a private detached property set in a wonderful location with beautiful views across fields to the Camel Estuary, St Enodoc Church and Brea Hill. There is a footpath from the house which takes you across the St Enodoc golf course, past St Enodoc Church (where Poet Laureate Sir John Betjeman is buried) and through the sand dunes onto Daymer Bay Beach (voted one of the best beaches in the world!) where you can enjoy picnics, bath in the shallow waters and spend hours of fun building sandcastles, rock pooling, paddle boarding or kite surfing. You might even catch a crab for supper! Daymer Bay Beach is dog friendly all year round and the coastal footpath leads onto either Rock (where you can catch the ferry to Padstow or go water skiing) or to Polzeath Beach (where you can enjoy bodyboarding or surfing). For keen walkers wanting to explore further, the footpath connects with the South West Coast Path. As a result, Seaworthy is the perfect house if you want to leave the car at home and explore those amazing estuary and sea views. Seaworthy is simply decorated, with 5 bedrooms accommodating up to 9 guests. It makes an ideal base for families, with a separate kids TV/games room and the added benefit of a large boot, coat and dog room for those sandy feet, shoes and beach gear. There is a family-sized kitchen with the essentials and a dining area which can seat up to eight guests. The sitting room has wonderful views with two armchairs, a three person sofa and a six guest dining table. The kids TV/games room has seating for four guests. Well behaved dogs are welcome, by arrangement in advance. Locally there are plenty of shops, fine restaurants, pubs, cafes and galleries to choose from. A short walk from the house is a village shop, The Mowhay Restaurant and the St Moritz Hotel which has a spa, wellness area and two restaurants. About the location

Polzeath 1.3 miles; Rock 2.3 miles.

Daymer Bay and the village of Trebetherick were both loved by Sir John Betjeman and are unquestionably special. With a huge appeal to both the young and not so young, Daymer Bay has recently been voted one of the best beaches in the world! St. Enodoc Church, once buried in the sand, is within comfortable walking distance of Daymer Bay and is the resting place of Sir John Betjeman. Daymer Bay holds great appeal for wind surfers, kite surfers and paddle boarders, with the gentle waves rolling up the estuary. There is enormous fun too for small children with buckets and spades and fishing in the rock pools. At low tide you can walk across the sand to the village of Rock to indulge in a spot of retail therapy or a bite to eat at one of the many delicious eateries, or catch the short ferry ride and explore the delights of Padstow. Up from the coast path as it runs from Daymer Bay is Highcliffe, nestling between Polzeath and Trebetherick, both of which boast a number of pubs, restaurants and village stores all offering a wide variety of fresh quality produce. The properties at Highcliffe have the advantage of being within easy reach of Daymer, Polzeath and Greenaway - Greenaway being the name given to the clifftop area, beach and small cove with rock pools overlooking the Atlantic beyond that lies between Daymer and Polzeath.
