. The house was extremely in need of a deep clean internal & external . Inside : cobwebs everywhere . Lounge smelt incredibly musty . Paintwork / skirting boards / behind furniture were all filthy . Towels were like sandpaper . Very tatty & need replacing . Dirty shower curtain downstairs .,mats were all grubby / stained . No windows had been cleaned externally / internally for months . External : all paintwork / windows need cleaning . Garden borders very scruffy / overgrown . Lawn uncut & appalling condition. Garden furniture ( sofa) & table broken , all cushions badly soiled . BBQ covered in mould . Took us 2 hours to clean . Entrance gate tatty & broken . Tatty plastic flowers fallen over at entrance need removing . Annexe needed a good hoover . More cobwebs & smelt very musty . I did complain all this to JB holidays , a gardener was sent to cut the lawn & reseed . I don’t feel the management Co look after the property whatsoever . Big shame . There is no contact no at all online to contact Sykes Cottages regarding anything . Only the fact that, JB holidays have an office close by , I was able to call in . Poor service all round . During my stay , I was forced to purchase room sprays , wash 2 mats , clean patio windows , clean bbq 2 hours , provide more toilet rolls ( only 3 left for 8 guests !) bought more bath / tea towels . I was supposed to be on holiday !
