“We have stayed at Artemis numerous times over the past 3 years and love the house (all en-suite rooms being a huge bonus) and the location.”
However, this year we noticed a huge change in the general cleanliness of the house and its facilities.
The frying pans were unusable as the non stick coating was peeling off on both and there were no oven gloves. After contacting John Bray, we waited almost a week for both of these to be replaced so had to go out and buy our own in the meantime.
Water wasn’t draining in one of the showers so we lifted the plug a little and found it to be thick with mould and hair.
Another bathroom had brown marks on the side of the toilet, bath, and tiles like someone had vomited.
The windows were filthy and covered in cobwebs, both inside and out.
The outside bbq was a rusty piece of metal which was unusable.
The wooden floors were dirty and the main rug in the living was covered in stains.
We paid a lot of money for our 4 week stay and as much as we love the property it needs a really deep clean and some tlc by the owners and John Bray.
Thank you for taking the time to provide us with feedback on your stay! We're very sorry that you had to experience these issues during your stay but thank you for your patience and understanding, had we been made aware of the cleanliness issues on arrival we would of course have arranged to have sent a housekeeping team member to rectify this. We do try to check as many properties prior to arrival as possible but due to time restrictions we cannot check them all. Your comments have been passed on to the team at John Bray Cornish Holidays. We hope to welcome you back to north Cornwall in the future! Property Owner
