Description

St Minver 0.8 miles.

Rosewin Farmhouse is a well-presented, semi-detached stone cottage situated in the heart of St Minver, Cornwall.

Privately tucked away along a short country lane near Rock village, it offers allocated off-road parking for two vehicles and welcomes one well-behaved dog, making this delightful retreat perfect for families or groups of friends seeking a tranquil Cornish escape.

After pulling in from the country road, the private drive leads to the rear of the property, where the charming stone façade and large flat front garden greet you with a sense of rural calm.

The garden’s seating area invites you to pause and take in the peaceful surroundings before stepping inside.

Enter through the main rear door into a welcoming hall, where a convenient shower room awaits—perfect for rinsing off sea salt and sand after a day on the coast.

Continue through to the spacious kitchen, fully equipped to cater to all your culinary needs throughout your stay.

Whether you're preparing a hearty breakfast or a celebratory supper, the kitchen offers everything needed to cook with ease.

Adjacent to the kitchen, you'll find the dining room, boasting a woodburning stove perfect for hosting memorable meals.

Pull out a chair at the long dining table and gather around as the fire crackles and laughter fills the room.

The exposed brick wall adds a touch of rustic charm to the space, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.

From the dining area, a door leads into the separate sitting room, where you can unwind on the plush seating in front of the Smart TV.

Ascend the staircase from the living room to the landing, where a snug with Smart TV offers a quiet spot to curl up with a good book or enjoy a movie night.

When you're ready to sleep, retreat to one of the three thoughtfully arranged bedrooms—each offering a peaceful haven to rest and recharge after a day of coastal adventure.

The property also includes a sleek bathroom with a bath, shower over, basin and WC, as well as an additional shower room with a walk-in shower, basin and WC, providing ample facilities for all guests.

Outside, the front garden with furniture provides a lovely spot to enjoy a morning coffee or an evening drink, while the courtyard offers a private space for alfresco dining.

Should you wish to venture further afield from this Cornish haven, immerse yourself in history by visiting the legendary Tintagel Castle, purportedly the birthplace of King Arthur, providing a plethora of exploration and breath-taking sea views.

For thrill-seekers, be sure to make a stop at the Bodmin Jail Attraction, an 18th-century county jail turned visitor attraction offering ghost walks and fascinating exhibits.

For a family-friendly day out, visit Newquay Zoo, home to an array of exotic species from across the globe.

No matter how you choose to spend your time in Cornwall, Rosewin Farmhouse provides the perfect base for an unforgettable stay.

Very quiet location with everything you need for a relaxed stay.

Less than 10 minute walk to the local pub and bus stop. Perfect place to explore this area of Cornwall.

The house is a fantastic size and was plenty big enough for 4 teenagers, 2 adults and a dog!

The snug at the top of the stairs provided a quiet place for the kids to chill out and the bedrooms were a great size. It would have been handy for the en-suite to be in the master bedroom but this is just personal preference. There was a damp / fusty smell when we first arrived, but we soon got used to it and didn't smell it after a day or 2. The location is perfect to explore North Cornwall, only a short drive to the nearby towns and beaches. The kitchen was well equipped and the hosts had provided dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid etc too, which was a nice touch. The only down side was how hard the mattress was in the master bedroom - after a bad nights sleep on the first night, we had to buy a mattress topper for the rest of the week's stay. We will very likely book for 2027!

I'm afraid we had a couple of issues but I was unable to let you know as my phone was playing up.

We were unable to use washing machine as it was deafening when spinning I think the bearing has gone. Also the small under counter fridge does not work and is mouldy inside. Apart from these issues we had a wonderful time at rosewin farmhouse.thankyou.
