Love the house and the location.

Perfect four a multi generational holiday. Two living rooms great and large dining table for us all to eat together. A couple of issues, way too many pots, pans, dishes in the cupboard, they are not needed. All the pans are old and need replacing and not enough wine glasses. Finally the sofa bed and pull out bed in the tv room are not comfortable and not at all suitable for anyone to sleep on for a week. Thank you

The house was exactly what we wanted for an enjoyable family holiday with our three sons, their wives and grandchildren.

All 12 of us, along with the two dogs, had a wonderful time. Very convenient for Polzeath and Rock, plus a few strolls to Daymer Bay. Our only slight negative was that the departure instructions in the two identical house information books advised us to place used towels in the bath. Just as we were leaving, we found a separate sheet instructing guests to remove all bed linen and place it into laundry bags. It would be helpful if the information provided could be made consistent. The window restrictors appeared not to be functioning correctly, and the first-floor lounge doors were difficult to lock. We shall highly recommend this property to friends and relatives and hope to return ourselves in the future.

We stayed in Ragleighs, family of 13, aged from 70 to 3, had a fantastic stay, very spacious, didn’t feel on top of each other, very well equipped for all our needs.

Perfect location for Daymer beach, and walks to Rock and Polzeath. Will definitely stay again. Pads for outside chairs, and a few larger glasses, for lager drinker would be appreciated. But didn’t effect our fantastic stay at Ragleighs.

Wonderful house…great garden and accommodation.

One criticism…kitchen cupboards very cluttered…far too many pots and pans…

We stayed here for our Diamond Wedding Anniversary with our children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

It was a beautiful house to stay in. Very comfortable and well equipped. Just a short walk to Daymer Bay, Polzeath and Rock. A lovely walk through the golf course to Rock or Daymer. I can also see how it would suit conference meetings.You can have your own privacy and use the second beautiful lounge as well with a balcony and views down to the beach. I would definitely recommend Ragleighs.

Best house we have stayed in for kitchen equipment. Really was a house for 14. Garden was well kept, and location amazing. The weather was perfect too !!!!

We had a wonderful family week at Ragleighs for our golden wedding anniversary.

Very comfortable, everything good quality and we appreciated the well equipped kitchen. A pleasure to sit at the lovely large dining table. Property is very conveniently located.

Ragleighs is a very well designed and beautifully appointed house.

The multiple sitting areas meant that our party had space to either be together, or separate out with no problems. The kitchen is extremely well equipped and having two dishwashers is inspired. The house is very sound proof for a modern building, much appreciated with 6 grandchildren 4 and under. It also helped cope with the constant background noise of garden machinery, as hedge trimmers seemed to start at 8 each morning and go on until 5 or 6.

A beautiful home in an extraordinary location.

The welcome package was unexpected and lovely. The whole house was comfortable, welcoming and beautiful. We have a very few points of feedback, that are not complaints but we would ask you to consider changing. 1, I had to sleep on the sofa bed in the snug, and it was not comfortable. I'd suggest making this into a regular bedroom. It felt very unfair that I was paying the same price as those with proper beds! 2, please provide more toilet rolls, we ran out in some bathrooms! 3, please provide handsoap in the bathrooms. The house was so well stocked with every type of cleaning supply and cooking utensil but we didn't have soap! That's it. The place was fabulous and we had a lovely stay.

Amazing house lots of room for a large family gathering would definitely book again.

We had an amazing family stay and would recommend to anyone, the outdoor shower was perfect for getting clean after a stroll on the beach.

The kitchen has all we could have hoped for, an the open fire was lovely to snuggle in front of at night. Perfect

Beautiful house in great location.

Perfect for a large group with lovely sitting room/kitchen easily big enough to accommodate everyone if the weather is not so good! Unfortunately there were issues with the drains and looking back at the reviews it is clear that this is an ongoing issue. The loos on the ground floor were very slow to flush and the floor boards in the kitchen were rising up during the week. The worst bit was the unspecified water bubbling up on the terrace making it impossible to use the outdoor table and chairs. John Bray were quick to send someone over but I feel it is something the owners need to address.

A couple things.

The sofa bed in the games room has very thin mattress and is thus not that comfortable compared with the mattresses on the beds. Could do with an extra mattress to lay over. There are cupboards in the house that are locked and are presumably the owners' private belongings. Some locks were broken and this we reported by phone to John Bray the managing agents. We suggest John Bray rewrite the description sheets to cover that in the blurb in the house. There is also conflicting advice about checkout times and procedures. Folding bedlinen and packing in laundry bags is only mentioned on a laminated sheet in one handbook and no mention on printed pages. Our email gave check out as 9.30 but blurb says 9.00.

Wonderful house, very well equipped.

Generous welcome pack; thoroughly enjoyed our holiday. Perhaps sofa throws could have been changed between uses as previous occupants dog hairs still evident. Would definitely book again

It was great although my brother who was sleeping on the pull out bed said it was incredibly uncomfortable.

Perhaps not accurate to call it a full bedroom when it’s a pull out sofa?

Our family and guests have for the third time enjoyed our stay at the fabulous Ragleighs.

The property is extremely well furnished and equipped, and we appreciated the generous welcome hamper. We did have a sense that there was an underlying plumbing issue and one toilet temporarily blocked and another backed-up. Should also mention the outside maintenance was lacking this year. Previous tenants had not cleared up after their dogs, BBQ needed cleaning and the patio needed weeding and sweeping. Also the previous occupants recycling was never collected. These items are easily addressed and we look forward to visiting again.

Myself and extended family enjoyed a good week in the house.

It was well equipped for a large group and the garden was great for the kids. The location is brilliant, walkable to Daymer Bay and only a few minutes in the car from both Rock and Polzeath. We had a lovely time.

Fabulous house. Perfect for our stay. A couple of little “blips” (maintenance wise) were very promptly dealt with, and quickly sorted. Friendly and efficient maintenance man. Shame that the previous occupants had not properly dealt with their rubbish.. as it was then left lying around until the end of our 1 week stay. But that was the only (and very slight) negative issue. So, other than that, “Ragleighs” gave us a superb holiday experience - it’s a really first class, comfortable, elegant and spacious house - and the welcome pack that was left for us was a really kind and thoughtful gesture - and very much appreciated. Thank you, John Bray.

The minute we opened the front door we found it to be very warm and welcoming.

Well presented with everything we required for our 4 generation family weekend.

Ragleighs was probably the best holiday home that we have ever rented.

It was very well equipped, was very spacious (accommodating all fourteen of us very easily), and very tastefully furnished and decorated. Everything looked as new when we arrived! And finally, it was very conveniently located directly above Daymer Bay Beach and a very short drive to Polzeath Beach. So, 11 out of 10 for the house. Now for the not so good bit. On Saturday (our third day) we noticed that the shower room and the bathroom on the ground floor were not draining properly so I called the Agents on Saturday afternoon and was told that someone would come on Saturday to investigate. On Sunday a man turned up and ‘plunged’ the bathroom waste. He didn’t look under the manhole cover in the decking directly outside the bathroom window.. A day or two later we noticed that bathroom still wasn’t draining properly and, as I had just had an email from the Agents informing me that the case had been resolved and closed I replied by email saying that things still weren’t draining properly and that they should send a plumber/drain specialist back. Nobody turned up. On Wednesday morning the next door neighbour arrived and said that he thought there was a problem with one of the cess pits and, having checked his, he thought that Ragleigh’s cess pit was probably full as it was overflowing dirty water into his garden. He said he would call John Bray (the local Agents, not Sykes who I had booked through and who had informed me that the problem had been sorted) and ask them to get the cess pit emptied as quickly as possible, which was duly done by 2.20 pm on Wednesday afternoon. So, if the cess pit had been emptied before it filled up and started overflowing, or if the man who came on Sunday had bothered to lift the manhole cover we would have had a lot less trouble. Not really what we expect to have to deal with during a seven day holiday

Ragleighs was wonderful - one of the nicest houses we have stayed in.

It slept all of us comfortably, there was lots of room for all the different age groups to play and the kitchen and dining area were perfect. You have literally thought of everything- and we couldn't have been happier. I also wanted to congratulate you on making everything fabulous without it ever feeling that you couldn't snug up on the sofa and totally relax, and the wooden floors everywhere downstairs make it very easy to sweep up all the sand that inevitably comes in after playing on Daymer! The garden and outside sitting area are great too - really, no complaints. We'd like to come again!

The property was lovely and in great condition.

The views and the closeness of the beach were incredible. We had an amazing stay, thank you. It would have been useful to have some bin bags and washing up products but otherwise it was all great.

What an amazing home, and I say home cause that's exactly how it made us feel.

We have a large family and it was fantastic to be under one roof. It was our daughters wedding at St Endoc church and it was the top floor made a stunning place for her and the bridesmaids to get ready, over looking the church and Daymer bay. We did have to contact John Bray through our stay but the issue was dealt with extremely quickly and efficiently, so thank you. We are playing our next stay with all our family. Highly recommend this property for location, cleanliness, facilities and homely feel.

Ragleighs was the perfect house for our family reunion of three generations.

Where do I start ? From the moment of opening the front door and that great hall space to wandering through all the rooms the word was “wow”. The huge dinning table which all 13 of us comfortably sat around and the outside terrace table which when the sun came out we also enjoyed - perfect. We so enjoyed the upstairs sitting room with good view and cosy fire (no screen!) for mastering a challenging jigsaw and Chess over a coffee or something stronger during stormy weather! I could go on and on …. be assured you will be delighted if you book Ragleighs for a holiday near Daymer Bay/ Rock/Polzeath which are all within walking distance. Thank you for sharing this beautiful home.

Ragleighs exceeded our expectations.

Finished and furnished to a high standard, it provided a superb base for an extended family group. We were a three generational group of twelve, and it proved perfect in meeting the needs of all. Loved it!

As always we had a lovely stay in a beautiful house.

It is a spacious and well equipped family home which we greatly enjoy staying at.

The beds were all very comfortable.

Instructions for heating would have been really useful. Great outdoor space, sitting room - large table especially. V easy, warm fire. For us, a great location & one we know very well. A few bin bags would be good under kitchen sink - I brought a couple of my own. Instructions said rubbish collected on last day of stay but they came penultimate day - not a problem though. Overall, a fabulous family house for a large group / 2 families.

It would have been helpful after a long journey to find a few groceries.

We would like to thank you for the excellent property and service, everything was fantastic. We booked this property for our daughters wedding at St Enodocs, it met every criteria and more. We would say to future guests considering the same that it was ideal. The top floor made a lovely bridal suite after the wedding night where they could wake up to the view of the church and bay.
