While your initial call was routed through our central line, as soon as we in the local office were made aware of the issue with the lock, we ensured that a member of our team attended the property as soon as possible. Thank you for your feedback and good to hear you found Farlands to be a lovely house. I am sorry to hear of the inconvenience you had with the planned power cut. John Bray were notified of this and it appears this was not communicated to you as guests. The garden is to the front of the house and the rear of the house is not advertised as additional garden space. We do try to ensure the grass is cut prior to a guest's arrival, but unfortunately the gardeners have had to work around the inclement weather with grass-cutting this year. The garden is fenced and gated with the addition of chicken wire to ensure the safety of dogs. Sorry to hear that you didn't feel that your two tiny dogs were secure. We are dog-owners ourselves and understand people want to enjoy beautiful Cornwall with their four-legged friends. Farlands is available to those with or without dogs, so we do encourage dogs to be kept downstairs for any guests with allergies. We hope that the large entrance porch and utility room provide ample space for dogs when the guests are enjoying the use of the upstairs sitting room. There is also the use of the downstairs sitting room, where dogs are allowed. We hope you continue to enjoy Cornwall with your dogs in the future wherever you choose to stay.

The new carpets have been a wonderful new addition to the property and the cupboard doors upstairs have now been trimmed to accommodate the thicker pile. Perhaps I could suggest you contact John Bray in the eventuality that you find something similar again in the future. Thank you for your feedback. I can hear you understand the reasoning behind the slighter later arrival time and earlier departure. The additional hour, either end, enables us to keep our housekeeping staff safe and allows for additional sanitising before the arrival of new guests. We want to ensure that our guests at Farlands have a relaxing, comfortable and enjoyable stay. At Farlands, we continue to upgrade, as necessary. A new kitchen was added in 2020/21, new garden furniture for the summer of 2021 and all carpets are being replaced this Spring (as with the pool table and dartboard). We hope that all our guests enjoy the new additions we continue to add and value your feedback.
