Children Making Christmas Cards
John Bray Cornish Holidays are happy to be hosting our annual art competition, giving children across North Cornwall the chance to design our 2024 Christmas card. We’d love for you to take part!

The designer of our favourite Christmas Card will receive art supplies worth £50, a set of Christmas cards featuring their design, and £200 towards their school or setting’s art department.

This year, in celebration of the RNLI’s 200th anniversary, we would like to invite you to get involved and design something festive with a ‘safety at sea’ twist!

  • Create a landscape artwork that’s as bright, colourful, and attention-grabbing as possible!

Kindly send your completed entry forms to: victoria.rogers@sykescottages.co.uk.

Please make sure all entries are emailed to us by 25th October 2024 at the latest, to allow time for judging. The winner will be selected and notified in early November.

Competition Theme

In celebration of their 200th anniversary, we would love it if you could think about the RNLI as a theme, and create a card design that not only depicts Christmas and the local area, but also celebrates their tireless work, keeping people safe on our beautiful coastline.

Why not draw your local lifeboat with twinkling lights and a Christmas tree in the background? Or perhaps show RNLI volunteers in festive hats singing carols… be as creative as you wish!

Additional Information

Please keep hold of your original creation – if you win, we might need the original artwork to produce Christmas cards.

We plan to feature the winner’s name, age, and school on the Christmas card. We’ll also announce the winner on social media and in the press. It’s vital to have consent from the parents or guardians of every child participating. In cases where consent isn’t given, please make a note on the entry form if the child has written their name.

We can’t wait to see your designs!
