1. The Great Cornish Market, Wadebridge

When? Sunday 29th October 2023

Hosted at Royal Cornwall Events Centre in Wadebridge, this free event is a great way to support local Cornish businesses.

Pick up some locally grown and produced food to cook back in your holiday cottage. Or purchase a special souvenir to remember your October in Cornwall.

Dogs are welcome too and parking is free.


2. Pumpkin Picking at Trevaskis Farm, Hayle

Get in the autumn and Halloween spirit and get to Trevaskis Farm to pick a pumpkin.

Whilst you’re there, pick some delicious artisan products from the farm shop. Find fresh fruit and vegetables, butchery, fishmongers, deli, dairy and bakery.

3. Halloween at Bodmin Jail, Bodmin

When? Throughout October 2023

Claiming to be Cornwall’s spookiest experience, Bodmin Jail have got a terrifying timetable to entertain this Halloween!

This October in Cornwall, experience the Dark Walk Attraction, with fancy dress welcomed from visiting youngsters.

Take the grim and ghastly up a notch with the Go Darker Heritage Tour, or visit when darkness falls on a Ghost Tour, Scary Cinema trip, or Paranormal Tour.

Adults can experience an authentic Victorian Séance on October 31st at Bodmin Jail too. Expect Victorian spiritualism techniques, ouija boards and much more.


4. Halloween at Camel Creek, Wadebridge

When? 21st – 29th October 2023

While in Cornwall in October, celebrate spooky season at Camel Creek Adventure Park.

This hair-raising event provides a perfect opportunity for kids to have some spooktacular fun. Think fancy dress, trick or treats, scare zones, games and prizes!

All the scary visitors will be returning, including the House of Horrors and Witches Grotto.


5. Halloweden at Eden Project, Bodelva near St Austell

When? 18th – 29th October 2023

Once again, Eden Project are putting some fantastic activities this Halloween in Cornwall.

Opening late into the evening, you can visit the Rainforest Biome and follow bewitching torchlit trail.

Delve into the origins of superstitions on the Magpie Trail, head to the Pumpkin Patch, attend the Weave a Web Workshops in the Tipi, and enjoy a spin on the spooky ice rink!


6. The Witches Afternoon Tea at The Headland, Newquay

When? 1st-31st October 2023

Down in Newquay, treat yourself to a spooky afternoon tea at The Headland hotel. This beautiful setting was the filming location for the film adaption of The Witches, originally a Roald Dahl novel.

The film starred Angelica Houston as High Witch and Rowan Atkinson as the hotel worker.

Enjoy delicious cakes and and tasty treats, and you might even see the High Witch on your visit so watch out!


7. Museum of Witchcraft and Magic, Boscastle near Tintagel

The Museum of Witchcraft and Magic.

Exploring British magical practice, from ancient times up the present day, a visit to this museum is perfect for spooky season.

Open up until October 31st, you can wander around fascinating exhibits on belief systems, magical practice and unique artifacts.
