“Thank you for letting us stay at your wonderful house.”

The position is ideal with the bonus of the parking. The view and conservatory are amazing. We had a great time and hope to go back soon.

The property

Merlin's View is a beautifully presented and stylishly furnished house, situated in a quiet residential location at the top of Port Isaac village. The historic harbour with its pub, cafes, restaurants and interesting shops is a short walk downhill. Enjoy magnificent views out to sea and along the coast towards Tintagel Head from the luxurious rooms on the garden side of the house and particularly from the elevated, furnished sun terrace and glass conservatory. Sleeping 5 people in 3 gorgeous bedrooms, this is a deservedly popular seaside retreat for family and friends. The property has the added bonus of private parking. Enjoy cooking up a feast in the immaculate kitchen with its matching cupboards and glossy surfaces; a modern butchers block is a useful additional worktop. Open-plan with the dining area, the decorative theme continues with a squashy sofa providing the ideal spot to relax. The sitting room benefits from a large, wide bay window looking onto the conservatory and views beyond; a contemporary wood burner and large TV give comfort on a stormy night. On the first floor the bedrooms share an attractive grey/blue and white bathroom. Perfectly positioned to make the most of North Cornwall, a holiday in Port Isaac leaves you spoilt for choice. Enjoy a relaxed wander around the narrow winding lanes of the lower village, flanked with historic whitewashed or stone faced fishermen's cottages, then refresh with a pint on the balcony of the characterful Golden Lion pub or a crab sandwich from one of the cafes. Quirky gift shops and art galleries are a good opportunity for stocking up on gifts and souvenirs. Join the coastal path for an invigorating hike with magnificent coastal views to Port Quin, a serene cove popular with swimmers and kayakers. The nearby Polzeath beach and Trebarwith Strand are excellent for surfing or boogie-boarding, good for all abilities and with lessons and kit available to rent.Accommodation: Ground Floor Covered Porch Open plan Kitchen/Dining/Family room Sitting Room with sea and coastal views Conservatory with sea and coastal views Separate WC/Utility room First Floor Bed 1: Double bed with sea and coastal views Bed 2: Double bed Bed 3: Single bed with sea and coastal views Bath/Shower/WC Sorry No Pets.

About the location

PORT ISAAC

Polzeath 6.5 miles; Padstow 16 miles

Port Isaac; one of the true Cornish treasures. A beautiful fishing village nestling in a steep sided valley, the old village in the valley remains unchanged from its days of fishing, slate export and smuggling in the previous century. An abundance of small character properties complemented by larger cliff-top retreats, can be found with easy access to the numerous restaurants and shops of the village. The sandy harbour provides an abundance of rock pools as the tide retreats. There is ample parking at the top of the village and the village is a popular tourist destination with plenty of attractions including the dramatic Doyden Castle, the beautiful Lundy Bay and the famous Doc Martin's clinic. There are also plenty of pubs, restaurants, and shops in the village. Just a short drive from the beaches of Polzeath, Daymer and Rock, it is perfect for romantic and family holidays alike.

There are hypoallergenic feather pillows on both the double beds as standard and synthetic on the single. There are 4 spare synthetic pillows under the single bed if ever needed. Please inform JB if they need changing.
