    “Great location.”

Comfortable beds. No WiFi. No outside shade and outdoor furniture could do with updating

The property

Turnstones is a detached split-level holiday bungalow set in an elevated position overlooking Daymer Bay and the estuary, within walking distance of the sea. Perfectly suited to a large family sleeping 6 guests in 3 bedrooms with 3 bathrooms. This self catering holiday house has a traditional feel inside with lots of glass and windows inviting the outside in and ensuring that your eyes are permanently drawn to those amazing views. Guests will not require a tide table to plan the day's seaside activities here! The endless coastal paths are to be found just below the property and could guide you along the estuary towards Rock or in the opposite direction towards the waves and cliffs at Polzeath. The accommodation consists of a king sized bedroom and two twin bedded rooms offering versatility for families or friends. The downstairs has an open plan kitchen /dining room which is bright, light and welcoming. There is a separate spacious lounge and a utility room plus a laundry area for all those damp towels. There is plenty of space on the lawned garden for fun and games and a useful raised terrace. At the rear is a secluded patio, an ideal spot for a sun worshipper to relax with the papers or a good book. The lovely Daymer bay is sheltered by sand dunes and the clear calm waters are gentle and safe for the very young and old. The quaint little church of St Enodoc that was once buried in the sand nestles just behind the dunes and is the resting place of poet Sir John Betjeman. The rocky cove of Greenaway is also just a walk away and is a haven for shell seekers and perhaps a spot of crabbing or shrimping in one of the many rock pools to be found there on a low tide. For ease of access, it is best to get to Turnstones via the greenaway to avoid the bumpy lane from Daymer Lane side. About the location

DAYMER BAY

Daymer Bay and the village of Trebetherick were both loved by Sir John Betjeman and are unquestionably special. With a huge appeal to both the young and not so young, Daymer Bay has recently been voted one of the best beaches in the world! St. Enodoc Church, once buried in the sand, is within comfortable walking distance of Daymer Bay and is the resting place of Sir John Betjeman. Daymer Bay holds great appeal for wind surfers with the waves rolling up the estuary. There is enormous fun too for small children with buckets and spades and fishing in the rock pools. Up from the coast path as it runs from Daymer Bay is Highcliffe, nestling between Polzeath and Trebetherick, both of which boast a number of pubs, restaurants and village stores all offering a wide variety of fresh quality produce. The properties at Highcliffe have the advantage of being within easy reach of Daymer, Polzeath and Greenaway - Greenaway being the name given to the clifftop area, beach and small cove with rock pools overlooking the Atlantic beyond that lies between Daymer and Polzeath.
