    “The holiday home itself is great.”

    However we were unable to make use of the veranda area during our stay as there was hard landscaping and building work going on next door. Also not comfortable using the garden at the rear as during our stay there were workmen and landscaping going on next door and there were parts of the fence missing and you could directly see the landscaping/landscapers only feet away plus the noise. This did ruin our stay which we did inform sykes that it would prior to our stay but on two occasions and in ...

This did ruin our stay which we did inform sykes that it would prior to our stay but on two occasions and in writing were informed this work would definitely all have been completed prior to our stay. We did inform them the local office and the owner regarding the situation on day 1 of our holiday. We are now returned from our holiday and have no resolution as yet. I feel as the customer the reason to choose this property above others is that it has s lovely veranda and a garden area too, both of which we were unable to make use of during or stay, we were awakened by building noise 5 mornings out of 7 between 8 and 8.30 am during the stay and the owner seems alright for us to just have to give up and come home from out holiday if we want to and he won't be offended!! Although he is apologetic about the situation and agrees it has been handled badly by the agents .

The property

2021/2022 - Building Works* Atlantis is located next to a building plot. The house on the upper side, Turnstones, was demolished in early March 2020 and planning permission has been granted for a new three bedroom house. Works are underway for this project, if you would like to talk anything through, please contact us. Atlantis is a stylishly renovated detached holiday home, set in an elevated position with wonderful views over Polzeath beach, Hayle Bay and the surrounding countryside. Surfers and swimmers will greatly appreciate the ability to gauge the sea conditions from the comfort of Atlantis before making the short five minute walk to the beach. Outside, the house features front and rear gardens, a wooden decking area with the rear garden off the living room and conservatory with views over Polzeath beach and a wonderful first floor terrace with far reaching views out to sea. At the side is an outside shower and decking under a porch with storage for surfboards etc.... At the front there is off street parking for 2/4 cars as the front grassed area next to the drive can be utilised for additional parking if required. The accommodation sleeps up to eight and comprises: 3 Bedrooms, 3 bath/shower rooms, outside shower, utility/drying room, Kitchen/dining/living room, conservatory, viewing room and is arranged as follows: Ground Floor Entrance hall leads to: Kitchen/dining/living room, French doors to rear decking and garden, conservatory. Bunk room: sleeping up to four with bunk beds, single bed with pull out single trundle bed, wash hand basin. Bathroom : paneled bath with built in shower screen, shower and mixer taps, WC, basin, heated towel rail. Shower room: WC, shower cubicle with electric shower, wash basin, heated towel rail. Uitility room: Butlers sink, drying rack, washer/dryer, door to .... Outside shower with decking and storage for surfboards etc..... From the main entrance hall a spacious hallway with stairs leads up to .... First Floor: Viewing room with sliding glazed doors on to a terrace looking out to sea. (Millboard decking with water-clearing brush as can be wet after rain!) Bedroom 1: King sized double bed. Bathroom: Bath with mixer taps, wash basin, WC, heated towel rail. Bedroom 2: Super king sized double or twin zip and link 3 ft single beds.(please advise preference when booking).

POLZEATH

Wadebridge 7.5 miles; Padstow 16 miles.

The seaside village of Polzeath boasts a sandy beach, which is bordered by rock pools and is acclaimed to be one of the best surfing beaches in the country. Polzeath itself has a number of small shops, cafes and restaurants, and the South West Coast Path, a 630-mile route, runs through the village. Just over seven miles away is the popular market town of Wadebridge, which is set alongside the River Camel and offers an array of shops, pubs and restaurants, as well as North Cornwall's only family-owned cinema. There’s wonderful countryside in the area, with the renowned Camel Trail passing through the town, and the nearby town of Padstow, with its harbour, pastel-washed medieval houses and celebrated restaurants is well worth exploring. Within driving distance is the UK surfing capital of Newquay, with over 11 miles of golden sandy beaches. Polzeath is an excellent base for exploring this part of Cornwall.
