    “This is a lovely house.”

We enjoy the character of it, not 'posh', but a place with it's own identity and story through books and photos, and of course great views. Thank you for sharing your house with us as holiday visitors. (Though we had to remember to leave a little energy for that steep last climb on the way back from the beach up Higher Tristram!).

The property

Trewint is a perfectly situated, detached bungalow with outstanding views over Pentire Head and the golden sands of Polzeath beach. Daymer Bay and the Camel Estuary are a very short drive away although walkers can easily enjoy the amazing coastal path and walk round to explore all the pretty little coves and inlets along the way. An ideal seaside retreat for 6 guests in three bedrooms with one bathroom, Trewint has a pretty, sunny garden at the rear and parking for two vehicles making it perfect for families.Hours can be passed sitting in the snug lounge appreciating the terrific sea view and watching the tide ceaselessly moving in and out. The main bedroom has a double bed and benefits from those same sea views. There is another double bedroom and a further bedroom with twin beds. Polzeath has a number of retail establishments, cafes and restaurants all within walking distance of the property.Pentire Head is well worth the stunning walk, the footpath is set along the spectacular clifftops and continues on towards the Rumps where gannets and cormorants can be spotted fishing. Seals frequently pop their heads up out of the deep sea below you and the sharp eyed may well spot an occasional pod of porpoise or dolphins. For pretty harbour destinations take a drive around the coast to Port Isaac of Doc Martin fame, or the ferry from Rock across to the bustling fishing town of Padstow.Accommodation: Sitting Room/Dining Room Kitchen Bedroom 1: Twin Beds with Hand Basin Bedroom 2: Double Bed (4ft 6) with Sea Views Bedroom 3: Double Bed (4ft 6) Shower Room Separate WC Conservatory with WC Sorry No Pets.

About the location

POLZEATH

Wadebridge 7.5 miles; Padstow 16 miles.

The seaside village of Polzeath boasts a sandy beach, which is bordered by rock pools and is acclaimed to be one of the best surfing beaches in the country. Polzeath itself has a number of small shops, cafes and restaurants, and the South West Coast Path, a 630-mile route, runs through the village. Just over seven miles away is the popular market town of Wadebridge, which is set alongside the River Camel and offers an array of shops, pubs and restaurants, as well as North Cornwall's only family-owned cinema. There’s wonderful countryside in the area, with the renowned Camel Trail passing through the town, and the nearby town of Padstow, with its harbour, pastel-washed medieval houses and celebrated restaurants is well worth exploring. Within driving distance is the UK surfing capital of Newquay, with over 11 miles of golden sandy beaches. Polzeath is an excellent base for exploring this part of Cornwall.
