    G. mattresses not all that comfortable refelcting that no process for the periodic turning of mattresses to even wear. Also, the cushion squabs for the settee felt were in need of replacement, seemed very worn and sunk low down which made it difficult to get out of on occaisions. Feel that the property description should refect: 1/ Whilst the main bedroom as an ensuite, it is very small, especially yhe shower tray, and 2/ Care needs to be taken when parking because of the overhang to the parking space and the steep incline of the parking space. Apart from the above, the property was excellent, a good location and the outside seating areas excellent for a relaxing holiday.

The nearby cove of Port Quin is a few minutes drive away or if you fancy, a moderately strenuous cliff top walk. Kayaking is good here too, or take a walk out to the stunning Doyden Castle, the location for the original Poldark series, which stands proudly on the headland. The sandy bays of Polzeath and Daymer Bay are only about 6 miles away and the sailing Mecca of Rock on the Camel Estuary is just a little further on.Ground Floor: Open plan sitting/dining kitchen with sea views First Floor: Bedroom 1: King size four poster bed (5ft) with en-suite Shower/WC, sea and coastal views Bedroom 2: Twin beds Bathroom/WC Sorry No Pets.

About the location

PORT ISAAC

Polzeath 6 miles; Padstow 9 miles

Port Isaac; one of the true Cornish treasures. A beautiful fishing village nestling in a steep sided valley, the old village in the valley remains unchanged from its days of fishing, slate export and smuggling in the previous century. An abundance of small character properties complemented by larger cliff-top retreats, can be found with easy access to the numerous restaurants and shops of the village. The sandy harbour provides an abundance of rock pools as the tide retreats. Only ten minutes drive from the beaches of Polzeath, Daymer and Rock, it is perfect for romantic and family holidays alike. There is ample parking at the top of the village.
