There were a few annoying points that could easily be remedied, eg no soap/ shampoo holder in the downstairs bathroom and no loo roll holder.
As the grandparents, in their 70s, in the party, we were planning to have the upstairs bedroom, but the double bed was right against the wall and inappropriate for anyone who needed to access that side of the bed. We therefore took the double downstairs but the bedside light was immediately/very close, above my head over the bed, so this bed needed to be ...

As the grandparents, in their 70s, in the party, we were planning to have the upstairs bedroom, but the double bed was right against the wall and inappropriate for anyone who needed to access that side of the bed. We therefore took the double downstairs but the bedside light was immediately/very close, above my head over the bed, so this bed needed to be pushed right against the bedside shelves by the wall and, the shelves had to turned round, stopping access to them.
On the flip side, the views were lovely, the kitchen was extremely well equipped, the sofas were comfortable and the showers were good. It was a spacious house and we enjoyed our stay there.
