“Spotlessly clean, the photos don’t do it justice, It’s usually difficult to find a large house with enough space for everyone to not feel on top of one another, this house more than ticked this box.”

The grounds to the farmhouse were huge, would definitely like to book for the summer. You wouldn’t need to leave the house!!, there’s an outside enclosed area (tiki house). Everything in the house has been thought out, high quality products and furnishings used.

The property

Surrounded by expansive gardens and even its own lake, in an elevated position overlooking the valley with a stream at the bottom of the garden, this magnificent holiday home, The Farmhouse, is tucked away yet still a stone's throw from the stunning north Cornish coastline. Nestled on sloping fields near Trebarwith, the hamlet of Treligga and just down the lane from amenities in the village of Delabole, The Farmhouse is the gem in this larger estate, a luxurious abode which has been beautifully decorated and equipped with opulent furnishings to provide the perfect retreat for sprawling families, groups of couples and friends seeking plenty of space from which to host the ideal break away from reality. Winding down the rural lane to the Farmhouse, you will find a private gated entrance and plenty of parking, complete with EV charging facility. Take a minute to admire the breathtaking, well kept gardens, lake and countryside vista before getting to know your new home away from home. Settle in via the generous, grand entrance on first floor level, exploring the house and delight in choosing from five sumptuous bedrooms to find your own. Unpack and rejoin your friends in the large open plan kitchen dining room which features floor to ceiling glass doors at one end, pulling your gaze out over the valley and allowing natural light to flood the room. High end appliances and generous prep space in the kitchen will allow you any keen cook to lay on a feast for any meal, with the banquette seating surrounding the table creating a sociable feel so everyone will relish a drop-in style lazy breakfast here, planning the day's adventures. For more formal meal times, lay up in the adjoining dining area which gives the whole group space to eat, drink and be merry together. Following your daily stomp on the sand at Trebarwith Strand, kick off your wellies and retire to the spacious living room, sink into the oh-so-comfy leather sofa, put on the 70" smart TV and catch up on your favourite series or sprawl out with the family for movie night. When the chill settles in the evening, crank up the Everhot stove to keep yourselves cosy or light the fire in the reception dining area for atmospheric effect, while the underfloor heating keeps your toes toasty upstairs. Adjacent lies the first bedroom and second bedroom, a sumptuous king-size with Smart TV and adjoining twin room with high ceilings and an en-suite shower room. Head downstairs to the ground floor which offers a few chairs for some private space to curl up with a book and leads to the rest of the bedrooms. The pinnacle of comfort can be seen in the spotless luxurious master bedroom featuring spectacular views out onto its terrace, lawn and countryside views beyond. Complete with a separate en-suite shower room including his and hers basins, an oversized, double rainhead shower and not forgetting the in-room striking freestanding copper bath, pampering begins here. For your guests, there are two further bedrooms downstairs including a twin and super king (zip and link) bedroom, the latter of which has an adjoining dreamy walk in wardrobe, These two bedrooms share a family bathroom with roll top bath and separate shower. Outside, the private gardens provide roughly 2 acres of lawn, bedding plants and space to relax, whether you are soaking up the sunshine wandering around the lake, taking lunch al fresco under the shade of the oak framed gazebo or letting the children gallop through the fruit trees. Be sure to save some local Camel Valley sparkling wine for your evenings in the hot tub, tucked away on the lower terrace to protect it from any breeze; the perfect spot to star gaze from all year round. A heated outdoor shower accompanies the hot tub area and is a welcome addition when returning from the surf too. The Farmhouse is an excellent choice for special occasions with family and friends and may be reserved along with the nearby houses for larger groups to create the ultimate private bubble for up to 22 guests to stay together, while all enjoying personal space and comfort. Whether your group include adrenalin-seeking adults, children looking for adventures or those wishing for ultimate peace and relaxation, this area of north Cornwall caters for all intentions. While close to the surf-central village of Polzeath and calmer shores of Daymer Bay, why not explore the lesser known quieter bays, where golden sands appear only at low tide and evade most local holiday makers. Take the track along from Treligga to Tregardock for a cliff top trek down to the beach or amble down to Lundy Bay or Epphaven for a refreshing swim. Grab your snorkel and head to the bay of Port Quin at high tide to glimpse ocean life or paddle board out from here to view the surrounding coastline. Keen walkers can join the South West Coast Path at Trebarwith and hike north over the clifftops to Tintagel, where you can see the famous castle ruins and Bossiney beyond. For more relaxing days, potter down the lanes in Port Isaac to take in the familiar sites from the Doc Martin series and dine in style at Nathan Outlaw's New Road or Fish Kitchen restaurants. Foodies will delight in being close to not only these but also The Mariners Pub in Rock, run by the excellent Paul Ainsworth with his Michelin starred eatery and Italian restaurant lie a foot-ferry trip away from Rock in Padstow. You'll find farm shops-a-plenty near with Sea View, Hilltop and Trevathan all a short drive away to stock up on local produce and the conveniently-close Tintagel Brewery, Sharp's and Harbour Brewery for finding your favourite tipple. Experience Cornwall at its finest while enjoying a luxurious stay at The Farmhouse. Note: As above, while this property offers its own gated entrance by itself, The Farmhouse can be booked alongside up to three other properties on this country estate to accommodate 24 guests for the ultimate break with privacy, convenience and fun for all: The Old Bakehouse - property ref 1114291 Courtyard Cottage - property ref 1114293 sleeping 6 guests Goose Cottage - property ref 1114294 sleeping 4 guests PLEASE NOTE: the bed configuration will be made up as per the description. About the location

DELABOLE

Tintagel 3.5 miles; Camelford 3.4 miles; Port Isaac 5.3 miles.

At one time the producer of the world’s best quality building and ornamental slate, this now sleepy village is just 2.5 miles from the high cliffs and dramatic scenery of the north Cornish coastline. Perfectly placed for walking the South West coastal path, exploring the high places of nearby Bodmin Moor, or for lazing on the beach at nearby Trebarwith Strand, it’s a well-placed holiday base. The peaceful harbour village of Port Isaac and the town of Tintagel, with its tourist attractions and King Arthur’s legendary castle, are both a short drive, while the stunning surfing beach at Polzeath is a mere nine miles away. Slaughtersbridge, where King Arthur reputedly fought his last battle, is five minutes away and a drive north along the coast takes in the beautiful cove at Crackington Haven. An area away from the main tourist crowds, but very central to a vast array of places and activities. Delabole Quarry itself is just down the road and is an interesting tourist attraction with stunning views. It is the gateway to great countryside walks.

Please note: The 2nd bedroom on the first floor is accessed through the king room making this ideal for use as a family suite.
For bed configuration, if you require the zip and link bed(s) to be configured differently, please inform us at least 7 days prior to your arrival date.
