“We loved the property, it was clean and comfortable with a lovely garden.”

There were two downnsides….the kitchen isn’t very well stocked, no salad bowl or any big bowls or salad servers. Also the Aga was a real problem in a heatwave. The kitchen was so unbearably hot that we had to turn the Aga off which meant we couldn’t cook properly for 2 weeks. Baked beans in the microwave became a bit boring! I’m sure it’s wonderful in the winter though.

Thank you for your review. We are very pleased to hear you loved the house, found it clean and comfortable and enjoyed the garden. There should be a large salad bowl in the kitchen and we will ensure that serving utensils for this are provided. The Aga is fully controllable allowing you to turn off the hot plates and turn the oven down when not in use. On its lowest setting the heat from the Aga is quite gentle. It is possible that the hot plates had not been turned off or ovens turned down after use. We understand that during the exceptional weather we have been having the kitchen may have felt too warm.
