“For the accommodation and price for that time of year.”

It was good. Location great. However, the garden is a mess and not at all inviting. Dead and overgrown bushes. We did not sit out there once as we felt hemmed in by the bushes The cupboards had flour and other food items left behind, two eggs left in a dish too. We did not sit out there once as we felt hemmed in by the bushes The cupboards had flour and other food items left behind, two eggs left in a dish too. Which was surprising as the instructions were clear to take away and food items you have brought. The ground floor toilet flush was very stiff. To the point we didn’t use it after the first couple of times. The floor around the en-suite toilet was not clean, but the family bathroom was great. Also, I know you’re on holiday, but the TV is not of a good quality. We could not log into anything, the picture kept dropping out. Never had that issue once at any other property in Rock and we have been going there for 10 years at least twice a year. Our first time with John Bray and would definitely book through you again, but we would not book 3 Lowena Manor. We booked it last minute and options for the two of us for our budget, were limited. So we accepted certain things because we wanted some time in our favourite place. But still, for the price, bedding and towels should be a must, cheaper properties through our usual holiday rental agent, provide bedding and towels. Even a small welcome hamper. If it had been full price we would not have booked it.

Lowenna

Lowenna Manor is a conversion into terraced houses of a former manor house in the center of Rock.  Set within its own grounds each house has their own gardens but benefit from the large open spaces beyond and around that are communal to all the properties.  With footpaths to two sides, one leading to the Golf course and onto Rock beach the ferry, and further to Brea Hill and Daymer Bay, the other going to the Newsagent, Bakery, Butcher, Fish monger and shops, it is set in a location that needs very little car travel around the village.  Perfect to switch off from the constant pressure of being car bound!
