The property

This immaculate, cosy little self-catering cottage is located just uphill from Port Gaverne, a10 minute walk to picturesque Port Isaac and a few yards from the coastal path. With underfloor heating and a warm wood panelled interior this is a romantic and splendid holiday retreat, accommodating 4 people in 2 bedrooms with one bathroom. There is a parking space for one car; please note that the driveway is shared with Cartway Cove, the next door house. The sitting room's high, vaulted ceiling has a spacious feel and has lovely rural and hilltop views over Port Gaverne valley; south-facing French windows open onto a private wooden deck with outdoor table and bench; a lovely spot to sit and enjoy the view. The kitchen has the luxury of a Delabole slate worktop and has all the equipment you need for creating a delicious summer salad or fish supper. Overlooking the sitting room is a gallery with built-in ladder, safety gate and full width curtains to provide a second bedroom with rural views. We recommend this room is used for two people over the age of eight. A charming porthole window gives sea views. This peaceful and tranquil spot near Port Gaverne, is nevertheless conveniently close to Polzeath and Trebarwith Strand beaches, both great for sunbathing, surfing and boogie boarding. Those who like to swim will prefer the gentler waves at Port Gaverne, Daymer Bay and Port Quin, a serene cove just south of Port Isaac. For an adventure, join a coasteering group here for guided exploration of the rocks and caves. With the South West coast path just across the road, stride out with a picnic and walk the breathtaking cliffs and valleys, covered with colourful wildflowers in May, there are sometimes moorland ponies grazing at Epphaven.Accommodation: Open plan Living/Dining Room/Kitchen area, sea view from dining area, Bedroom 1: double bed with en-suite bathroom, Gallery Bedroom 2: twin beds, sea view Sorry No Pets. About the location

PORT ISAAC

Polzeath 6.5 miles; Padstow 16 miles

Port Isaac; one of the true Cornish treasures. A beautiful fishing village nestling in a steep sided valley, the old village in the valley remains unchanged from its days of fishing, slate export and smuggling in the previous century. An abundance of small character properties complemented by larger cliff-top retreats, can be found with easy access to the numerous restaurants and shops of the village. The sandy harbour provides an abundance of rock pools as the tide retreats. There is ample parking at the top of the village and the village is a popular tourist destination with plenty of attractions including the dramatic Doyden Castle, the beautiful Lundy Bay and the famous Doc Martin's clinic. There are also plenty of pubs, restaurants, and shops in the village. Just a short drive from the beaches of Polzeath, Daymer and Rock, it is perfect for romantic and family holidays alike.

Please note, this property does not include bed linen or towels. You are welcome to bring your own with you, or you can hire from Kalu linen hub, who will deliver your order to your holiday cottage. Orders need to be placed at least one week prior to your arrival and please ensure to check the bed configurations of your holiday cottage; especially, where zip and link beds are supplied, as you will need to let them know whether you will be using them as a twin or super king.
