On a quiet day, go out onto 'The Main,' a cliff to the right of the beach with a wonderful view of the coastline and rocks below, a fantastic picnic site. A picturesque drive will take you to Polzeath Beach, famous for surfing and bodyboarding; Daymer Bay, with its calm seas ideal for little children; or Rock, famed for its various water activities including sailing and water skiing, with a foot ferry to Padstow.
