“We loved staying here.”

The cottage is really spacious and cosy and brilliantly located centrally in Port Issac. We were a family of four with 2 young kids and it was perfect for us and was immaculate too. It was so handy to have a garage and parking with the cottage too. We loved making new memories in Port Issac as a family.

My only dislike was the bed was so lumpy and old, although it had a mattress cover. I think it needs to be replaced.

“We had a relaxing stay at Temple Cottage and found everything we needed to enjoy our time there.”

The cottage was spotlessly clean and very cosy. We only had a short break but would love to go back to stay again in the future. Ideal spot close to harbour, cafes, pubs and restaurants.

I'm glad to hear you found the property was comfortable for you. Unfortunately, due to the nature of some of the old fishermens cottages in some of our locations, I appreciate the rooms can be a bit dark. Their access to natural light is more limited due to the way they were designed historically - and therefore add to the character of the original building. “This fantastic cottage has sooo many great aspects.”

It's perfectly located - truly just steps from town. You can be to the Chapel Cafe for their delicious Cornish Sweet Tea in moments, or to the Golden Lion for a wonderful dinner. The cottage itself is adorable and comfortable. I typically have mediocre expectations of the furniture and beds at rentals, but I slept like a baby in the beds and enjoyed relaxing evenings in the downstairs living room. I loved this rental, and LOVED Port Isaac.

“Lovely cottage set in a small narrow street.”

Quiet location next to the famous Squeeze belly alley! Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Temple Cottage great facilities all in good working order and two televisions! Good sized rooms for a cottage and the bed was so comfy! Thank you for a wonderful stay at Temple Cottage.

“We love this cottage and once again we had a great stay.”

The trek up the to the garage hasn’t got any easier, but is getting a bit much for our 70 year old legs. I would also like you to give some consideration to installing a hand rail towards the end of the bath as stepping out gave me some cause for concern.

“Very good cottage inside with a high standard of fittings - tried the iron on Saturday and it leaked out of the base so assume someone had dropped it before me.”

Outside it would have been nice to have some pansies in the hanging baskets rather than rusty brackets with stains on the wall but this is minor really - lovely cottage and very warm and cosy

I will have the iron replaced immediately, the leak had not previously been brought to my attention, so thank you for letting me know about it. As for the rust marks on the exterior walls and the lack of hanging baskets, this is being rectified this weekend with a coat of paint and professionally prepared baskets which we always replace around this time of the year so they last the season. Full of character and charm, Temple Cottage is an attractive stone cottage located at the end of 'Squeezy Belly Alley', conveniently located for everything Port Isaac has to offer, including a range of restaurants and a pub serving delicious fresh seafood. This dog friendly holiday cottage can sleep up to 4 guests in 2 cosy bedrooms on the first floor and welcomes one pet downstairs so you don't have to leave your family pet at home. Exposed beams throughout and a stone fireplace create a snug hospitable retreat for those wanting to escape for the week. The cottage has a large farmhouse style kitchen with everything you need to cook easy meals for hungry holiday appetites and a separate sitting/dining room where a welcome open fire will keep you cosy after a long day on the coast. Take a gentle stroll of an evening to the harbour and catch the now famous Fishermans Friends singing their sea shanties on the Platt during the summer months or enjoy some fine dining or even some freshly caught fish. PORT ISAAC

Polzeath 6.5 miles; Padstow 16 miles

Port Isaac; one of the true Cornish treasures. A beautiful fishing village nestling in a steep sided valley, the old village in the valley remains unchanged from its days of fishing, slate export and smuggling in the previous century. An abundance of small character properties complemented by larger cliff-top retreats, can be found with easy access to the numerous restaurants and shops of the village. The sandy harbour provides an abundance of rock pools as the tide retreats. There is ample parking at the top of the village and the village is a popular tourist destination with plenty of attractions including the dramatic Doyden Castle, the beautiful Lundy Bay and the famous Doc Martin's clinic. There are also plenty of pubs, restaurants, and shops in the village. Just a short drive from the beaches of Polzeath, Daymer and Rock, it is perfect for romantic and family holidays alike.
