    The weather was incredible and we loved the proximity to Daymer Bay. Not having to drive was definitely a bonus! ...

    The weather was incredible and we loved the proximity to Daymer Bay. Not having to drive was definitely a bonus! We loved the space inside the apartment and the fact it had a little garden. A couple of negative feedback points: The dishwasher was so old that you couldn’t keep the tab in the compartment - it wouldn't close. As a result the wash was terrible and we had to keep washing the glasses by hand. It’s not what you want to do on holiday! Just irritating. Needs a new one and I have fed that back to John Bray. Also the carpets in the bedrooms could do with a good clean. Lots of black hair on them which hadn’t been picked up by a hoover (maybe dog?). Otherwise everything else was fab.

Bodare

A fantastic located building in the heart of Daymer that was re-built as 8 flats in 2004/05. They all have car parking and individual outside space, either balconies or private garden areas, but they also all share a large sunny garden which has multiple areas of lawn around mature flower beds and trees.  At the bottom of the garden a gate takes you onto the footpath to the beach or onward to the St Enodoc Church, Brea Hill, the Coast path to Rock or even the ferry to Padstow.

*Please Note* - Access to this property is via the patio doors until 17th May due to communal area restrictions. Luxurious and spacious, Bodare 1 is an open plan, ground floor holiday apartment located just a short walk from Daymer Bay. A sunny paved terrace leads down some steps to a private garden with a gate leading to further communal gardens and the footpath down to the beach. Bodare 1 sleeps 8 guests in 3 bedrooms and the apartment provides a welcoming and stylish holiday destination, perfect for family and friends, with parking for 2 cars. The main bedroom has a superking size bed with ensuite bathroom; bedroom 2 has a kingsize bed with a bathroom next door; bedroom 3 has twin beds plus bunk beds, ideal for 4 children to share. A third shower room/w.c. will rule out any queueing for the bathroom!The sociable open plan living area is generously furnished with plenty of comfy sofas; floor to ceiling windows give a lovely light feel to the dining area. Throw open the French windows and invite the glorious outside in. On balmy evenings make the most of the large terrace with alfresco drinks and long family meals, or sit on the steps with a coffee and absorb the pretty garden views while planning your day's activities.Staying so close to the sandy shores of Daymer Bay makes for a easy, relaxing holiday. Ramble along the beach and around Brea Hill to Rock for lunch at the pub. For a more active holiday Rock is also an exciting place to sail and on a calm day at high tide it is a beautiful setting to have a go at paddle-boarding. Hike along the cliff top to Greenaway beach for some beach combing and rock-pooling. Keen surfers are only a quick drive from the exhilarating surf of Polzeath beach, whilst golfers can practise their swing at the renowned St Enodoc Golf Club or at The Point at Polzeath. Immerse yourself further in Cornish life by exploring the classic fishing harbours of nearby Padstow and Port Isaac.Accommodation: Large kitchen Dining Room Living Room Bedroom 1: Superking Bed with en-suite Bathroom Bathroom/W.C. Daymer Bay and the village of Trebetherick were both loved by Sir John Betjeman and are unquestionably special. With a huge appeal to both the young and not so young, Daymer Bay has recently been voted one of the best beaches in the world! St. Enodoc Church, once buried in the sand, is within comfortable walking distance of Daymer Bay and is the resting place of Sir John Betjeman. Daymer Bay holds great appeal for wind surfers, kite surfers and paddle boarders, with the gentle waves rolling up the estuary. There is enormous fun too for small children with buckets and spades and fishing in the rock pools. At low tide you can walk across the sand to the village of Rock to indulge in a spot of retail therapy or a bite to eat at one of the many delicious eateries, or catch the short ferry ride and explore the delights of Padstow. Up from the coast path as it runs from Daymer Bay is Highcliffe, nestling between Polzeath and Trebetherick, both of which boast a number of pubs, restaurants and village stores all offering a wide variety of fresh quality produce. The properties at Highcliffe have the advantage of being within easy reach of Daymer, Polzeath and Greenaway - Greenaway being the name given to the clifftop area, beach and small cove with rock pools overlooking the Atlantic beyond that lies between Daymer and Polzeath.

Under the terms of our lease at Bodare no pets are allowed (even dogs of visiting friends) so you must not allow any pets in the grounds or car park areas during your stay under any circumstances.
