“The house was lovely and the views were amazing.”

The beds were comfortable and the house was spacious. We all had a lovely holiday helped also by the weather. Thank you for letting us stay at the house.

The property

Seaworthy is a detached property set in a wonderful location with beautiful views across fields to the Camel Estuary, St Enodoc golf course and Brea Hill. There is a footpath directly adjacent to the house which leads down to Daymer Bay Beach (recently voted one of the best beaches in the world!) and then onto Rock or Polzeath, making it a perfect house if you want to leave the car at home and enjoy walking with those amazing estuary views. This holiday home is simply decorated and fitted out for the basic needs, with 5 bedrooms accommodating up to 9 guests. It makes an ideal base for younger families, with a kids TV/games room and the added benefit of a very large boot & coat room for those sandy feet, shoes and beach gear. There is a family-sized kitchen with the basic essentials featuring a dining table which can seat six guests comfortably or up to eight guests at a squeeze. The sitting room has wonderful views with two armchairs, a three person sofa and a six guest table. The kids TV/games room has soft seating for four guests. To the rear of the house there is a small lawned garden with a sunny patio where you can relax and soak up the wonderful views. Outside there is parking for three large cars. If you take the footpath down the drive adjacent to the house, it leads you across the golf course, past St Enodoc Church (where Poet Laureate Sir John Betjeman is buried) and through the sand dunes onto Daymer Bay Beach where you can enjoy picnics, bath in the shallow waters and spend hours of fun building sandcastles, rock pooling, paddle boarding or kite surfing. You might even catch a crab for supper! Daymer Bay Beach is dog friendly all year round and the coastal footpath leads onto either Rock (where you can catch the ferry to Padstow or go water skiing) or towards Polzeath Beach (where you can enjoy bodyboarding or surfing). Locally there are plenty of shops, fine restaurants, pubs, cafes and galleries to choose from. About the location

Polzeath 1.3 miles; Rock 2.3 miles.

Daymer Bay and the village of Trebetherick were both loved by Sir John Betjeman and are unquestionably special. With a huge appeal to both the young and not so young, Daymer Bay has recently been voted one of the best beaches in the world! St. Enodoc Church, once buried in the sand, is within comfortable walking distance of Daymer Bay and is the resting place of Sir John Betjeman. Daymer Bay holds great appeal for wind surfers, kite surfers and paddle boarders, with the gentle waves rolling up the estuary. There is enormous fun too for small children with buckets and spades and fishing in the rock pools. At low tide you can walk across the sand to the village of Rock to indulge in a spot of retail therapy or a bite to eat at one of the many delicious eateries, or catch the short ferry ride and explore the delights of Padstow. Up from the coast path as it runs from Daymer Bay is Highcliffe, nestling between Polzeath and Trebetherick, both of which boast a number of pubs, restaurants and village stores all offering a wide variety of fresh quality produce. The properties at Highcliffe have the advantage of being within easy reach of Daymer, Polzeath and Greenaway - Greenaway being the name given to the clifftop area, beach and small cove with rock pools overlooking the Atlantic beyond that lies between Daymer and Polzeath.

Bed linen and towels NOT included. The Single beds in bedrooms 1 and 2 can be made up as a Super King size zip/link. If you require this, please call us to advise.
