“We had a lovely stay at Dolphins Barn.”

The house is spacious with plenty of room for all the family. Plenty of hot water and brilliant heating system. The house was well equipped, however I agree with the previous reviews; would have been nice to have a bin bag in the bin. We forgot to bring our own and arrived late so we didn’t have chance to get one for the first night. I would expect to provide my own however the first liner in the bin should come with the property. This however did not hinder our stay. We had a fantastic time ...

The property

Dolphin's Barn is a wonderful, four-bedroom home located in the coastal community of Trevone, Cornwall. Dolphin's Barn offers a roomy property for a family break, a light-flooded living space, and adaptable sleeping configurations for eight people, whilst enjoying sea views and a convenient location near the beach and a hub of amenities. Arrive to a private driveway, offering plenty of space to park up and unload your belongings. Start your getaway by throwing down your bags and relaxing in the sitting room, offering a peaceful place to unwind after a long day of travel. Head to the open-plan living space to prepare and enjoy group meals cooked in the recently renovated kitchen with large dining table; use this as your social hub, contemporarily designed and flooded with natural light. On warmer days, grab some coal locally and fire up the barbecue outside while admiring the distant sea views, before returning indoors to refresh in the ground-floor shower room, bathroom, or one of the en-suites. Rest in one of the four beautifully furnished bedrooms available, which include two lovely twins, a roomy king-size, and a stunning super-king-size bedroom; the latter features lofty ceilings and a wonderful, private balcony where you can watch the sun set with a glass of wine in tow. Get up and enjoy your surroundings by taking a stroll around the village of Trevone Bay down to the sea, perhaps taking in a morning coffee at the beach cafe. At low tide you can potter between Trevone's sandy beach and rocky bay and in the warmer months (unless you're brave!) why not try a dip in the sea pool there too? You can follow the coastal path to lead you around the cliffs which lead past Gunver Head to Stepper Point and eventually, round to Padstow. If you prefer the easy drive down the lanes, you can reach Padstow in a matter of minutes and here you can tour the harbour, discover the National Lobster Hatchery, and dine out at Rick Stein's waterfront restaurant or the Michelin starred Paul Ainsworth at Number 6. Further down the coast you can take in the beautiful bays of Constantine Bay, Treyarnon and Porthcothan so you can experience a different beach every day within a few mile radius! For family-friendly attractions try Camel Creek Adventure Park for little ones or Newquay's Blue Reef Aquarium or if you're feeling more daring, try the water sports on offer at nearby Harlyn beach or Watergate Bay further down the coast. Make memories as a family at Dolphin’s Barn.

Note: This property has a Good Housekeeping bond of £200.
