For a boutique-style, coastal family holiday to remember, Hillside Cottage is a dreamy self catering fisherman’s cottage located less than a minutes walk down to Port Isaac's vibrant harbour side, shops, galleries, pub and restaurants including the Michelin Star Nathan Outlaw Fish Kitchen - just at the bottom of the hill. Recently refurbished by Nouska Design, this boutique-style holiday cottage offers luxury family accommodation set over three floors, sleeping 4-7 guests across three bedrooms with one bathroom and the benefit of private parking for one car. Climb up to the elevated garden area via slate steps to admire the most outstanding coastal and harbour views as you sit around a crackling fire pit - the perfect spot to enjoy the sunsetting over Port Isaac harbour.
From the moment you step in the door, you are greeted with rich interiors in which every detail has been beautifully considered by its London interior designer. The ground floor is the main hub of the cottage with a stunning handmade kitchen with quartz worktops, equipped with a Nespresso coffee machine, double oven, induction hob, fridge and freezer. The open plan living area is a great space to enjoy your fresh fish from the harbour followed by a relaxing evening watching a movie or playing games in front of the fire. After a busy day on the coast head upstairs to the master bedroom beautifully arranged with a vintage double bed, dressing table and views over the harbour. A vibrant single bedroom room and shower room share the first floor with access up the stairs to the top bedroom. Here you will find a dormitory complete with three bespoke-built cabin beds set under the vaulted ceilings along with a smart TV and DVD Player for some in house entertainment. A door on the first floor landing provides access out to the landscaped rear garden that has been beautifully terraced to provide a practical space for dining outdoors, while make the most of the harbour views.
Spend a day enjoying the gentle comings and goings in the harbour, rockpooling on the beach or lose yourself in the quaint narrow streets of the centuries old fisherman's cottages with their gorgeous slate roofs and whitewashed walls. If you're feeling energetic, a few miles west lies Port Quin; just a short drive or a spectacular walk over Lobber point past the rocky cove of Pine Haven, then Varley Head, along Reedy Cliff then Kellan Head and finally dropping down into this pretty National Trust owned cove. A lovely spot for swimming, kayaking, rock pooling or fishing. With cycling, golf, tennis as well as a wide variety of watersports on offer, as well as stunning sandy beaches at Rock and Polzeath and historic villages to explore - there is bound to be something on the North Cornwall coast to suit all members of your party.
