Venture to nearby Port Quin, where you will find the impressive Doyden Castle which can be seen from the coastal path, a small 19th-century castle-style house which looks out over the sea. From Port Quin you can embark on a guided canoe or kayaking tour and explore the magnificent surrounding waters of the coast. Directly opposite Rock is the popular town of Padstow where you can travel to via the foot ferry from Rock slipway and is home to the National Lobster Hatchery, where you can even adopt your own hatchling.
