Rock Oyster Festival 2024
Rock Oyster Festival is right around the corner and makes the perfect addition to your North Cornwall holiday itinerary!...
The Wave Project UK is fully committed to positively impacting the mental wellbeing of young individuals through surf therapy. To raise awareness, John Bray Cornish Holiday’s have chosen The Wave Project as their charity of the year. That’s why our local team have organised a fun-filled fundraising event right in the heart of Padstow. Join us, take part in coastal-inspired activities and raise money for this fantastic charity!
The Wave Project began on the beaches of Cornwall approximately 10 years ago and now operates around the UK. They offer surf therapy, surf clubs, adaptive surfing, beach school and ‘wave ranger’ experiences and opportunities, all of which use the therapeutic power of nature to support children’s mental wellbeing. The fantastic volunteers are on-hand to provide individual support to the requirements of the young people that join one of the charity’s therapeutic projects. Aiming to boost self-belief, reduce stress and improve health and happiness, we couldn’t be prouder to support The Wave Project.
Join us for a fun-filled day of fundraising activities, raising money and awareness for The Wave Project and the fantastic work they do. Here is a breakdown of what’s happening at the event, including activities available and costs, with all proceeds going to The Wave Project:

We all know the importance of keeping our beautiful beaches clean. Children can practice their beach cleaning skills in our ‘Mini Beach Clean’ – collect 10 pieces of plastic to win yourself some sweets!
This amazing charity is so close to our hearts. Our aim is to help as many children enjoy a Surf Club session with The Wave Project as possible. A session costs £200 for 10 children, which is why we hope to raise £1,000 to fund five sessions in total, helping 50 children experience the therapy and joy of surfing!
