Designed for easy comfort with multiple log burners, soaring vaulted ceilings and slate floors, this self-catering holiday home has ample parking and is an ideal rural retreat for walking or bird watching breaks, away from the hustle and bustle, yet only a very short drive away from the many delights that North Cornwall has to offer. Children will adore exploring all 10 acres of the mature gardens surrounding Mill Barn including access to a private bird hide and public footpath out towards Trewornan Manor where they may spot some of Cornwall's rare birds in the adjacent sanctuary. Indoors there is plenty of space to sit and relax in front of the fire, watch a film or read with plenty of entertainment in the games room including a pool table. The large kitchen dining room has a wonderful range style cooker - perfect for lingering over dinner before retiring to the Orangery or living room to catch the stunning sunsets.
Tucked away in a quiet hamlet about half a mile from the picturesque village of Chapel Amble, The Mill Barn is located just 5 miles from the North Cornwall coast and the popular beaches of Rock, Polzeath, Daymer Bay and Port Isaac. The nearest town, Wadebridge offers a great selection of independent shops and cafes, as well as three supermarkets, a swimming pool, a two screen cinema, as well as being the start of the Camel trail cycle path. Head to Rock for sailing, waterskiing and wake-boarding or catch the ferry across to Padstow to explore this historic fishing harbour; perhaps book a Sea Safari to spot dolphin, seals and sea birds. From Rock you can walk the breathtaking sandy beach and coastal path to Daymer Bay, a sheltered beach with clear bathing water and plenty of rock-pools to explore. Further round the coast lies Polzeath, one of the best surf beaches in Britain, you can hire equipment or book lessons by the hour. With its blue flag status and west facing aspect - be sure to linger for the amazing sunsets on one of the many restaurant terraces. Further still lies Port Isaac, another picturesque fishing harbour and home to the Doc Martin TV series, the shanty singing Fisherman's Friends and Nathan Outlaw's Michelin starred restaurants.
